Sorry for my absence I've felt shocking all weekend, I'm wondering if having a week off has meant my body had time to let little bugs in? Bleugh! I think it's been flu, hot/cold/hot/cold, sweaty, achey, cough. Very attractive:D:D Still not 100% but much better than I was.

I really need to be better asap as I have lots to do but my plan is to tr and get a few hours work done tomorrow, although that'll be tricky as dd is off school, but I will try for the evening. Then I have to work tues/wed/thurs, but only if I feel better, otherwise is a day off. Tuesday evening I have persuaded dh to help ebay list:T so that it finishes sunday.

Friday I plan to catch up a bit with pre-school things but I had to do some bits over half term(officially only work term time) so I won't worry if I don't do much/anything.

Right i'm gonna sign off as the computer isn't doing much for my neck ache/eyes. Will be back with more interesting thoughts tomorrow no doubt:rotfl:

Hope you feel better soon Primrose, well done on getting DH to list on ebay!

  • Well I went to the docs yesterday and I have a chest infection, so on ab's now. I had no sleep at all sunday night, up coughing all night. Last night I spent on the sofa, sat upright and managed to sleep:j I haven't gone into work today so that I can have a rest.

Unfortunately dh has now taken to bed with what is probably what I had fri, sat and sun. Fingers crossed he doesn't have get the chest infection.

So tonights ebaying is off:( oh well, there's always tomorrow

    Hope everyone else is well

  • oh no not you too Jwil:( hope you feel better soon

I actually feel alot better today, the breathing has eased right off and I feel like I have some lung back! The ab's must be working already. I'm hoping I can sleep in bed tonight but will see how it goes as another upright sleep might be better for clearing the chest?

Dh seems better too which is good and he's keen on ebay listing tonight:j even if we only do a few it's better than nothing
  • Hi Primrose

I 'm wondering if we are the same people - I also seem to like volunteering myself for things :rotfl:

I expect you are planning to do this anyway, with regard to your Treasurer role could you explain briefly what it involves, how much time is needed a week and that you are willing to do a long hand over. This might encourage people to come forward if they think they will have someone to hold their hand for a little while.

Also I wonder if you can think outside the box a bit, so are there any grandparents of the children who used to be accountants/book keepers who might like to keep their hand in the same field.

Probably talking a load of old drivel so feel free to ignore me!!

Thanks Primrose, been back to work today, still got a really sore throat and think it is turning into a cold now, but better than yesterday anyway! Hope you are feeling better too. Good for your DH for still being keen to list on ebay!

  • EE, the role is tiny really as the administrator(me) does 99% of the traditional treasurer role and we've explained all this in a letter that went out this week but no-one has volunteered. Yet. I'm trying to put this aside as 'not my problem' and get on with other things!!

WE managed to list around 10 items on Tuesday. They all finish on Sunday so lets hope they all sell

I'm running to a tight and impossible budget this month. I've no idea how we'll get through til pay day

I'm going to go through the cupboards and freezer in a bit as there's lots there so need to meal plan like never before

I haven't yet paid Next off as I think i'll need the money this month. My birthday is at the end of the month and i've asked for Next vouchers to buy some shoes but actually what i'll do is pay the account off(partially):o Shoe can wait, i'll buy some next year:rotfl:

We still have 2 1/2 boxes full of stuff to ebay and it's free listing this weekend so i'm going to get dh onboard to list like mad this weekend. i'll use the temptation of clearing some clutter on him, he hates my mess:rotfl:

Mind you when we listed things on tuesday I wsa writing the listing, loading photos and all he did was take the photos, I don't think there was equal work load somehow!!!

Right, I have a million and one things to do as I haven't done anything for a week with this bloomin chest infection. Still it appears to be going. I actually got to sleep in bed last night rather than proped upright on the sofa under the kids blankets

  • Ebay isn't going too well. A couple of things have bids, one is doing really well but the others have no bids and maybe one watcher if any so it's not looking great:( But it's free listing day again so plan to try and list a few tonight

I need to get motiviated today as my jobs list is huge, but I just can't be bothered:o

keep on and up with the ebay! it does seem like a chore sometimes, and the best bit is always seeing your items go for lots of money:D>

i've just taken about 50 photos and am about to start some mega BIN listings - wish me luck x
