NOW JAN 2019 (that still needs to change)
  • Nothing to report on ebay. I haven't listed anymore items yet. Some of the ones I listed have watchers but no major movement!!

I have discovered I have nearly 4000 points on my nectar card which means I have either £20 or £40 to spend depending on where I spend it. There's not much choice though so i'm not quite sure what i'll do with them. I'd like to spend them on christmas, perhaps get one or two presents with them. I need to investigate how to spend them
  • oooo I just had an email reminding me about another job I need to do before I can sign off my self employed work, which is good news as I can probably get £250ish for it. Not that I have time but i'll make time for £250!!!

Fingers crossed that My works internet is back up and running when I go to the office tomorrow. it'll be 3 weeks since it was cut off on thursday:eek::D

I spotted a couple of books in a charity shop the other day that I thought would be good for dd's stocking, but I left them because money was tight. But i've decided to pop back today and see if they're still there as I went into town yesterday and the same books new are alot more money so it makes sense to buy them in the charity shop. I'll report back later:D
  • I haven't been to the shop yet, I got distracted by updating my spreadsheets! This month has been very tough and have struggled alot, culminating in having to use my cc:o I do have £165 owed from a job i've done, £250ish coming from the job i'll do in the next month, I have started on ebay and hope to get in £300 maybe before christmas. I have lots of toys to list and will start on those after half term as I think i'll get more cash for them then, but before that I have more I can list. That's my job for tomorrow night as they will then end at the weekend!!

I do have to pay for a boiler service, i'm not sure how much that'll cost. I'm guestimating £100ish.

I need to come up with some ingenious cheap but nice looking christmas presents for people.
  • I do waffle on here don't I?! It helps me clear the thoughts going round and round in my head:D

The shop still had the 2 books i'd spotted the other day:j 50p for 2 Where's Wally books. I think both dd and ds will like them actually so they might get one each in their stocking:) I kept looking at advent calenders yesterday but decided to wait until November, not that I could afford them yet anyway:(

I need to look through all the [STRIKE]tatt[/STRIKE] lovely things i've bought for christmas so far in order to work out what's left to get. and i know my 'present boxes' are full of things i've thought we be a good present for 'someone' but have been gathering dust so i'm going to turf them out and ebay anything I won't use, or I might keep a few bits back to donate to the school and pre-school raffle/tombolas.
  • I've been awol for a few days, ds hasn't been well so have been looking after him. He's feeling better today, no doubt helped by the antibiotics he was given by the doctor on Tuesday. I'm hoping he'll be well enough for preschool tomorrow as I have missed 2 days at work already and could do with going in tomorrow.

I have just been predicting forward on my spreadsheet for the next month, which, in theory looks ok. But i thought that about this month too:(

Positives are that I will be able to get on with overtime once i have had my week off. It will also be November soon and I will ebay the toys I have held onto. I also have another job I hope to complete asap and get some extra cash in.

Tomorrow is AGM day at my pre-school and I shall be handing over my treasurer hat to someone else so that will free up some of my time. I had wanted to give up last year as I didn't have time but I kept at it as they provided an incentive of a free session a week for ds and that was worht more than my time. I struggled to pay for one day a week let alone 2:o

But the AGM tomorrow means tonight must be spent finalising the accounts and writing a short report for the year. I hate public speaking so it should be fun tomorrow night!

The items I listed on ebay the other day are going ok, I have watchers on most things and a couple of early bidders. I have my fingers crossed that they sell, I need the money and want my dining room back!!!! I still have 2 huge boxes of stuff to list though.
  • No one volunteered to be treasurer so it's officially still me:mad: However I am now paid to work at the pre-school so I can't stay on:p and letters will be going out after half term stating we need to fill the role. So the AGM wasn't as successful as i'd hoped

In positive news I have £69 in my paypal account:j and I have 7 items finishing very soon on ebay and one is already up to £64:j:j:j:j it's a pushchair I bought from ebay and i'm sure paid no more than £40 for, but didn't actually ever use:o:o

I'll update in a bit once they've finished.

After lunch dh and I are off to Alton towers for a childfree weekend:T dc have already been dispatched to mother in laws!
  • OMFG:eek::eek::eek: the pushchair sold for £135:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
  • :jI've just transferred £200 from my paypal account, not sure that's ever happened before! I've posted the things I sold on ebay, only 3 out of the 7 I listed:( The postage costs came in under the amount I charged, but it is P&P, I just happen to sue mostly recycled jiffy bags from dh's work. I'm going to ask my work if they can save any jiffy bags for me, might as well try and build up a stock pile as I have loads to be posted. I need to get some brown paper too, might have a look on ebay for that.

I'm going to try and list a few more things today, nothing else on and dh is here and is gardening with the dc as I type!!!

    Back later to report progress...

Wow to the pushchair that is an amazing result! And the other sales too!

Good luck with getting some more listed, and feel free to waffle on, I like reading other people's waffle!
