  • I couldn't bring myself to do the job I should've done:o but I did start on the pre-school accounts which need to be done for the AGM in about 2 weeks(i'm the treasurer at the moment, giving up at the AGM) so at least I did something from my list.

Everyone's right I shouldn't think about the jobs as a whole rather lots of small jobs and knock one at a time of the list and i'll get there eventually.

I have a list of things I want to get done over the next 3 weeks until half term, then i'd like to be 'free' to do overtime and ebay.

I'm still not sure how the ends are going to meet financially this month:( maybe I should've taken my cc company up on their higher limit offer:D It's ok I am joking!! I put their letter through my shredder yesterday and I still can't remember what I did with the card so couldn't use it if I wanted to:D

    Hi Primrose
I was thinking today due to how bad i have been on ebaying recently maybe we could encourage each other to list 1 or 2 items a day, Im sure we could both find 10 minutes for that could help us get to month end a little easier.

oo yes please HWG, I'd love to. I've got a box with bits in it so I just need to take photos and list the things!

I've just transferred my pitance to the cc:o very slightly over the minimum but it's better than nothing. The o/d's are getting very close to their limits and I still have 3 weeks til pay day, am actually worried what will happen this month.

I know I need to finish this work off and bill the person to be able to survive so that is priority one at the moment. In fact I may well try and get it done right now, even though it's late and bed would be a better option. I think I might sleep better if I can get it done.

On a more positive note we have finished buying dd and ds' christmas presents so that's a good thing. I just need to figure out how to get the rest:think:

I also need to think how I can get buy 3 weeks worth of food for virtually nothing! hmmmm. I know there's a few dinners in the cupboards/freezer but stocks for lunches etc are running low. I need to figure out some cheap dinners so might pop over to the old style board and find some ideas. I'm thinking lots of spag bol, bol with potatoes, rice/pasta based meals. erm.... baked potatoes

I made 4 dinners worth of spag bol last night with reduced mince, value tomatoes and chucked in a load of veg that was in the freezer, I reckon it cost maybe £3 for the 4 dinners, the only thing extra that's needed is the spagetti, so maybe £5max for 3 dinners.

I'll get £20 a week from something else i've been up to:rotfl: so that will help.

I'm thinking after this job is done I will concentrate on ebay. oh is out on friday night so I might have a night of listing, what a way to spend a friday night :rotfl:

Right i'm off to do this job, i'll be back later to report progress.....
  • Ok, i've done another part of the job, the worst part, so now I can finish it off tomorrow at a sensible hour.

Now to bed as I have work tomorrow <<yawn>>

Have a great day and hope to hear the jobs completed later.

  • HWG, i've received a free listing weekend email for sat and sun, so I won't list anything tonight but I will get it ready, photos and maybe type the descriptions up in word ready to copy and paste over tomorrow. DD is at a party 2-4 and dh is off work so I think that might be my slot to list as many things as I can!

In worse news, I still haven't completed that job:o but that will be number one on my list for this afternoon if ds and his friends comply or tonight if not. Then tonight it'll be ebay prep and/or pre-school accounts. Then I have to finish something else before work on tuesday.

    no pressure then:rotfl:

The job should pay pretty quickly, it's about £150ish so would really help til the end of the month. But i'm hoping the ebay things will sell and the money will come in handily for the weekend away. Otherwise I have no idea what will happen

Plus I think I mentioned I won a competition to have a economy thing-a-me fitted to my car to see how efficiently I drive and to help cut fuel bills, well that was fitted this morning. THey also did a safety check which threw up a couple of minor issues that will need adding to the service/MOT in April:( but dh's uncle is a mechanic so he'll deal with that. Plus a new tyre is needed but not urgently so i'll wait til payday. AND they also said that part of the check was a £15 fuel voucher:T:T:T :j:j:j so that will be invaluable.

Went to Tesco today and spent £40, hoping that lasts the week, maybe with extra bread and milk.

I have £10 in my purse and wil have another £20 later, dh needs £10 for his night out(he goes to his mates and they drink beer!! so cheap really) so I'll use £10 for petrol in the car. Hopeing we can get away with a spend free weekend as dd has the party tomorrow and dh will be hungover so won't go far tomorrow. Then sunday dh is off in the afternoon for a sky ride(a free bike ride organised by team sky) and the weather is supposed to be nice this weekend so i'll make sure the park is the place to go, maybe a picnic, as soon we won't be able to.

Right, enough from me, off to put the boys in front of a dvd:o with lunch and try to get on with this neverending job that I keep putting off:o
  • so much for me not being able to find my cc. The post came, new card in there as the other one expires this month:rotfl:
  • I have just looked at the online bank. Things are not good at all.

O/D 1 is nearly at max £1,918, max is £1,960
O/D 2 is nearly at max £430, max is £460

There is £60 in savings which i can transfer if need be and probably will have to.

As i said before I have £10 in my purse and will get another £20 later, £20 of this will be gone today.

I have been shopping so shouldn't need much more this week.

But there is 3 weeks til I get paid and 2 weeks on tues til dh gets paid:(

I still have child benefit and tax credits to come in, tax credits is £42.11 and comes in next tues, child benefit is £134.80 and won't come til 26th(also date dh gets paid) £19.99 comes out on 25th for the top up tv, £15 chq for dd's gymnastics is yet to clear and I need to pay at least the minimum off the next acc still. Not sure what date that's due, i'll just go and check .........
  • ok minimum Next payment is £9.76 to be there by 19th. So I can pay that once I have the child benefit.

I will get another £40 in (£20 each friday) which I can use to top up my depleating food stores <<sigh>>

I know the begining of the DF business is the hardest, there's just no slack and I know it will get easier as our income should increase next year at some point. but it's so hard and i'm feeling a bit down to be honest.

I've got a load of money sat in the house from my 2nd job(money that needs to be paid in or put in the petty cash box) and I just wish it was mine:(

Still there's no point getting depressed is there? It's our own fault and we are addressing the problem. Rome wasn't built in a day as the saying goes! So I guess I just have to dig in and see what happens.

ooo I wonder if I could do a boot fair on sunday? Are they still going on? Supposed to be nice this weekend isn't it? and dh's bike ride isn't until the afternoon.....hmmmmmmmmmm
