I can't wait to get it gone, i've only had a balance on it since July though so not too bad. In the past i've piad it off with the cc:o what an idiot!!
I'm at work (job 1) and my boss has agreed to overtime so it could be a pretty good few months:D and very busy too! This job has a busy period Sept-Jan each year (can you guess the job?!) so I may get 4 months of nice pay to put into some debt busting. Although i'm not sure how i'm going to fit it all in:think:0 -
Hi Primrose, you're doing really well - keep it up hun!
Do you have any particular brand of mascara you prefer or are you not fussy? You could go to WHSmith or somewhere and check out the women's magazines - normally one of them is giving away a free mascara so you would have a mascara and a magazine then
You could stick your current mascara in a cup of hot water to loosen it up a bit so it would last until the weekend

All that extra overtime you will have to pace yourself and dont forget your not the only one who can do jobs around the house, how about writing a list of jobs to be done and share them out the kids can help too no matter how small.MARCH 2016 DEBT £25750/ £25035

I'm a brand swapper so not fussed which mascara, will have a look at the mags, thanks for the suggestion. And will also see if you hot water tip works in the meantime!
HWG, my dc are only little (dd is 6 ds is 3) dd is fantastic with helping out but ds is a nightmare. We're trying to get him he;ping with small things but there's still a way to go:D but dd helps and we try to treat them the same so i'm hoping he'll get less resistant to it soon!!
I'm not sure about the overtime. It looks like a good idea(moneywise) but i'm not sure how it'll fit in. I could work some saturdays, OH works every other saturday morning so I could in theory work the other saturdays for a full day 7/8 hours but it's a 9-5 mon-fri job so it'd just be me in the office, which is fine and i'm sure my boss won't mind but I just don't know if I want to give up my saturdays. but we need the money. I'm reluctant to try and fit anymore into my evenings though as the 2nd job is taking over atm, although I do think this will calm down now. and I also need to have a life!! Or I could ask MIL if she'll have kids on a saturday morning so I cna work whilst oh is working and bring the work home. The job is VERY flexible so I could do that.I might ask her and see what she thinks. She'd likely keep them for most of a saturday for me. then maybe oh could collect them once he's come home, showered etc. ooo now that sounds better to me already:D
It's not like I have to do the work so as long as I don't commit to any particular hours at work I could just do 4 or 5 hours on a saturday and leave it at that. Then dc get to see Nanny and oh and I don't lose our family days. If oh picks dc up it also means he sees his mum, which he doesn't get to do very often. all I can do is ask0 -
plus remember, the £ shops are not always the cheapest;).
i always check out offers in home bargains and the s/markets - i often go for the value tortilla chips.0 -
we don't have a home bargains near me
but I agree the supermarket own brand things can be cheaper than £1 shops.
Oh dear. The Next sale invites have been sent through:eek: I've booked a slot and it's not a huge sale so I expect when my slot arrives there won't be anything left that I want anyway. I have had a quick look and there are a couple of bits i'd like to get for christmas presents and pants for dh:D and maybe a work top or 2 for me. Mine are all looking scruffy so I could do with a couple more.
I got another email today telling me i'd got accepted for a product test:T I'll have some gadget put on my car to check the fuel useage, they then tell me how economical my driving is and suggest ways to reduce fuel consumption. I also get a £50 John Lewis voucher:T I will probably use this to buy a few christmas presents
I'm a big believer in Karma so am hoping this is because I have helped someone else and it's being paid forward:)0 -
hi there!
just don't do the next sale! can you live without it? do you have the money?
if i buy from next i have to save up first. i hate paying lots of money for clothes and much prefer to buy new/nearly-new items from charity shops at a fraction of the price.
don't do it:T0 -
I did order a few things from the Next sale, not that many and some of them might end up going back.
I have my new mascara and OMG I hadn't realised just how much the old one was needing to be replaced. it was horrible:o
we're planning on buying dd a tv for christmas, we've found a really good deal but the trouble is I don't have the money to buy it right now:( I can't find a date for when the deal ends either. I think what i'll do is use the money I was going ot pay the Next account off with and then try and get some money in by doing some of the work I need to finish asap.
not much going on really on the ms front. and the diet has gone to pot:o oh well! oh will be working alot this week so I might be able to get up straight with my work. Although oh won't be here to help with the kids so much so maybe not!!0 -
i've just been updating my spreadsheet for sept/oct and well, I think we'll struggle:( I simply MUST get this extra work done, I keep saying I wil be tiredness takes over and I just can't get the motivation up to do it, but there's no excuse I MUST. Also then I must work a way out to do some overtime in my 1st job to get a bit of extra cash in to give us some breathing space. If I can do 15 hours that'll gie me £100 after tax so that's my aim. 15 hours of overtime by the end of the month. Trouble Is i owe then a few hours already:o so I think i'll need to do more like 25 hours to cover what I owe and what I need to do to get some extra money.
right, easy then!!!!!!!
I also MUST do a meal plan for the week as I was a little slack last week and ended up with a few days not knowing what was for dinner. First task is to get something ready for tonight.
Then I need to gte off the computer and put the washing away and change ds' bed. He had an accident last night for the first time in weeks, bless him. He's doing so well:)0 -
Good luck with the o/t wish we had some available as now ds is older it is much easier. I have also made a meal plan for this week so we tackle the freezer and shopping has come in on target.MARCH 2016 DEBT £25750/ £25035
