I hope you find him soon!

The only tip I can give you (and I think I read it on here) was if you go out and call for him to only call him whilst you're walking toward your home, not away. If he does hear you you don't want him going the wrong way trying to find you!

    Hi all,

Thank you for joining to help us, help Solar & her family find Foxy. Facebook appear to have 'altered' the way you set up & run groups, and for some reason there doesnt appear to be an option to join instantly which is really weird! I originally set the Group to 'open' which I thought would let people just click to join, but it obviously doesn't. Not a great update, Facebook:mad:

so i apologise that you guys have to request to join, but there is no way round it atm according to their update FAQ's:mad:

You could also try contacting The Paul O'Grady Live show which is on ITV on Friday nights. Paul is well known for his love of dogs and has often put out requests for lost dogs in the past.

we've spoken to a couple of children who live on the street and are going to go a little further afield, near the primary/secondary school with posters. Thank you for the suggestions.
Just asked on facebook if any one would like to come and help to search on saturday, whether any one comes is another story, I've offered the bribery of treats though
  • Another tip is to actually visit the rescue centres rather than take their word for the fact he isn't there.
I too live in a semi rural area and one of our boys ran off one night while shooters were on the farm nearby.
He ran in a straight line for maybe a mile and was found there after 7 WEEKS.
We think he was spooked by shotgun noise which sounds awfully loud in the still of a quiet night.
Good luck and don't give up hope.

Have passed these details on to my rescue friends in Scotland. They have promised to spread the word.

Fingers crossed Foxy finds his way home safe and sound soon.
RIP TJ. You my be gone, but never forgotten. Always in our hearts xxx
He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog.
You are his life, his love, his leader.
He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart.
You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion.
  • Oh, and the same cat has gone awol 3 times in 10 years.
Thinking about it now, the second time he ran in a straight line about a quarter of a mile and was found in the local churchyard.
He came back with injuries the first and third time (first time hit by a car in the head so we always wondered if he lost his sense of direction) second time he had collar damage as he had lost a lot of weight (he is a bit of a fatty though and his 'found weight' was normal for a cat!)
and the collar had got trapped around his shoulder and worn a hole in it.
The most important thing though was that we got him back.

Thank you , I'm going mad now, how did you manage 7 weeks and 3 times, if the hubby has his way when he comes home, he won't be leaving again, I can't blame him. We've just put posters near the schools and a bit further a field
