I thought so but when I rang to put in my 31 days notice today they said they are all deleted from your planner...

I bought two Sky HD boxes off eBay and both boxes still had the previous owners recordings.
  • Where will I find their latest deal if they offer me one please?

I cancelled my sky tv in march, successfully negotiated a deal about a week after giving my notice. 50% basically and £100 credit, which meant that overall I would be paying less pm than before. I have just had the increase letter, the bill will be going up by £5.50pm.

Does anyone know if it's worth having a go at getting this reduced, or if it's worth cancelling and going through the rigmarole again? It's just a rolling contract.

If they gave you £100 without contract you should have cancelled instantly ;-)

If they gave you 50% off then your increase should only be £2.25 per month, this is what Sky's customer service advisor told me. The letter is probably based on your payment before the discount.

They apply it to the account, takes a while to use up.

Your 1st thing to check is your contract length.
Sky arent likely to give £100 bill credit & 50% off without a minimum term.
  • Went on to live chat tonight and got the 50% off and £50 credit.
    It's a £32 package (so paying £16), tied in for 12 months.

I'm wondering, has anyone on a £32 (just went up from £30) subscription secured £100 credit? Or is the £100 credit more to do with more expensive subscriptions.

...when I "negotiated" ~ 6 months ago, I only got the extra £100 credit by agreeing an upgrade in package - but worth it for me as it reduced the effective monthly cost from ~ £67 to £21.60:T

Also - they insisted on 12 month contract to get 60% plus £100 -not surprising really:rotfl:

I got an "offer" of 50% of with a £50 credit and a being able to cancel with 31 days notice which I did not accept.

    How does one better this?

What are the "terms" of this offer - i was told the half price is fixed for 12 months so sky CANNOT? increase that figure and presuambly if you take the free credit and then decide to cancel you can do this all over again?
