Should always aim for at least 50% off.
Lots of success in the haggling thread here

I currently am paying £68.27 for full sky tv package including HD and 1 multiroom, broadband and evening and weekend calls. They have said the best they can do is £93 a month so I am cancelling and hoping for a better offer. Last 2 years have had to wait a few days for a call but got a deal so fingers crossed and will report back with any other offers.0

couple of minutes after receiving the email confirming cancellation I got the 50% offer on the sky service app which will nearly get me to what I am paying now. I would still need them to extend my free broadband offer and discount HD and multiroom to get the price right down.
So should I contact them again or wait for them to call me?0 -
Hi,
My contract is up with Sky and my bill has just jumped from £47 to £70 because of this. (I was on a deal before).
We have unlimited broadband and TV with sports (no HD). I've called three times now and all they've been able to offer me is 25% off so a bill of £57.
Do you suggest I cancel and wait for an offer? The only thing is, if you cancel and they don't offer you anything is there a backup option? My boyfriend would kill me if it backfired and we ended up with no sports at the end of the season!0 -

Yes. Cancel. They've no reason to make a better offer if you've not cancelled.
Don't wait for an offer. Just cancel them after a few days go on live chat in the pink a few pages back.
Say you've been offered 50% discount (if you have or not) and would like to see if they can better it to keep you as a customer.
Worst case is on day 30 of your cancellation period you call and say I've changed my mind. If you don't get a deal that is.Sigless0 -
Just downloaded Sky app to my phone and been offered 50% off TV, previous offer 25%. Been looking at my SKY on iPad app since cancelling last week but no offers. Only reason I downloaded android app was to find out if there was a fault with my BB and landline as neither have been working since early this morning, seems it's fixed now.0

Hi, I was one of the people who managed to get one of the MSE half price sky codes last August, so I've been paying less than £40 for the fully Sky package for the last year. Obviously this is up for renewal soon, does anyone know whether we're likely to continue getting the full Sky package including broadband for sub £40 a month? If they try and put it up beyond £40 a month I'll be leaving I think.0

I got an incoming call today. I've accepted 50% off TV for 12 months and a £50 credit on the account. Line rental stays full price but broadband is free for 12 months.
No contract on any of the services so pretty happy with that. Had to work harder this year than last year though.
Also, while I have the 50% offer on the app, where do offers show on your online account? - (I know this has been asked before, but there are too many pages!) - Thanks0 -
Looks like sky may not be offering much in the way of deals just now. Just had the retentions dept on the phone to get me to stay.
I wanted Variety pack, HD, Sky sports and multiroom (1 additional room only) and got offered £62 per month and £50 credit. Considering the deals that some other people are on there was no way I would even consider it.
Termination date is 5th May.0 -
I am on the 31 days countdown to end $ky TV. The lady on the phone offered no discount for me to stay but right from that phone call when I go online to my internet account I was and still am offered 35% discount for 12 months. If I go in via the remote control to my account I am offered 35% discount for 9 months. That discount doesn't include multi room or the HD part of sky sports.
Also worth remembering that the discount price is pre-price increase from June 1st so while the discount will remain at 35% that is 35% at the new higher starting price.
Has anyone beat the price further down after the 35% offer for not leaving $ky?0
