Sky are ridiculous. I saw this 50% off on 31 March. I was told today that offer expired 2 weeks ago! Now they are only offering me 35% off plus on the spot offer of free broadband for 12 months.

The team on webchat said I have no offers on the account even though I've cancelled. Yet the app says 50% off, apparently it is the 'Winback' team I need to call. I have a sneaky feeling that this 50% off won't happen though judging by what people have said.

Essentially all I've been offered so far is free broadband (there are no line rental discounts apparently this time even though I pushed - I had line rental discounts for the last 3 years).

Hi guys, we are currently on a family bundle with free broadband but our bill is going up from 42.40 to 50 in june.
Only took out sky last June so is it worth me ringing to try and haggle a deal?
Obviously can't cancel as still in minimum period.

Can't haggle either until the minimum period is over. You can hardly threaten to cancel, so why would Sky cut you a retention deal?

    Wait until June...

The app for me shows 50% off but when I read the T&Cs it says 35% off.

Get them on live chat and tell them that you want the 50% offer and Cashback as well. You never know your luck. Worked for me.
    To infinity and beyond!
  • The cancellation notice was put in and within a day I had the 50% offer in my Sky app. However finances are tight and fact that discounted package was about to go back up to around £70 it was time to see bow much Sky wanted me or whether it was time to explore competitors prices.

It's been quite a while since I've seen anyone saying they got 75% off. They tend to be offers for people who have been without Sky for a while.

60% seems to be the max at the moment, but even that seems to be getting rarer.

They do seem to be tight at the moment but i presume that is because they want people to upgrade to Sky Q

Just cancelled my Sky TV through Chat around a week ago. Latest increase was in lay mans terms 'taking the mickey'.
Tracked back & vast majority of TV we watch is on Freeview-I do like the Sports but not prepared to pay the extortionate price to just be able to watch sport.
Considering a Humax recorder to replace the Sky+ feature-I did get 50% off Sky for last 10 months (been offered 35% off so far) & and am sure I will be offered this agian at some point but for first time not even sure I will accept this.
Seriously think Sky have some real challenges ahead and in real danger of losing a good proportion of their customer base. They are heavily dependent on the sorry customers who dont check their bill & keep paying sky high prices.
There are many other cheaper or free options available now.
