I have actually cancelled. 13 days to go until switch off, I think!
I mean cancelled as it actually switched off, not in your cancellation notice period (as you are now). You'll get sick of the flyers coming through the door, providing you have the marketing options allowed on your account of course. Maybe check that if you haven't already as if you haven't allowed it they won't be able to send you any offers.
Have you looked in your 'my sky' section, or even the app as some have reported success with an offer through that?0 -
If I were to let things lapse completely, is there any way of "parking" our phone number anywhere, such that we don't lose it?0

Then when the TV offer comes in after switch off, see what you can negotiate for everything as a package. Quite a few people have posted that they have got a deal on rental and/or b/band whilst agreeing a new TV deal.:)0 -
Brewerdave is correct. The phone line can take a couple of weeks to reinstate and you could lose the number.. I negotiated free broadband and half price line rental earlier this year, a couple of months before I sorted out my TV package. To infinity and beyond!0

I called to cancel this morning and was offered 35% off for 12 months, logging into My Sky confirms that. Using the Sky Service app however gives me a 50% offer so getting better.
I have until May 11th to see what else they come out with.0 -
I phoned to cancel Sky today though we're really working on the assumption of keeping it. Got offered a monthly cost reduction of £20, offered for ten months by knocking a few things off (HD, evening/weekend landline package) & half price broadband bringing it to £46 with Variety TV package or £36 with Original, but I told them I still wasn't happy & would talk to SWMBO. I've not cancelled as yet but I think i will, judging by the various posts on here. It seems you do have to do the deed to get the most bang for your buck.0

I cant get more than 35% off and £50 credit after two attempts. Ive cancelled the family pack after taking out then cancelling a 25% offer after a week (long story on another thread :-). This offer expires after 24 hours. Doesanyone think i can better this as they dont seem like they are going to budge at the moment?0

Just cancelled sky today. Really I want HD, Variety package, sports and Multiroom (1 more room) paying no more than I already am for HD and Variety package (Now £44 pm). Been with sky for 16 years and never had any discounts so I don't think I am asking for 2 much. Only thing offered was downgrade to basic sky for £24 per month. I'll wait and see what offers they come up with closer to the cancellation date.0

We are currently thinking of cancelling. Rang up the other day and got offered basic package with broadband for £33 pm. I think this is still expensive - We currently are on the variety bundle and I dont want to downgrade to basic.0

You have to cancel to start getting the better offers - their whole system is set up to keep you so if you cave in before cancelling you will not get the best deal. Cancel. Then wait - they will more than likely contact you and offers will likely appear in your account area within days. It is a different team who have better offers so not cancelling just leaves you with small savings. If all else fails you can cancel your cancellation. It is a game as you see from reports on here and other forums - so do your research to see what is achievable and then play them at their game. Nothing to lose, all to gain.0
