I'm up for renewal soon but tempted to cancel it and see how we get on without it. Most stuff we watch is on Freeview and we also have Netflix and Amazon Prime.0 -

...Once out of contract minimum term, you can play a game with Sky -decide what is the maximum you are prepared to pay for Sky services pa and what your target price is - I've achieved my target for 3 years running with a cancellation and a few hours effort :T0 -
It's that time of year again. I have just redone a sky deal for my Aunty.
Cancelled yesterday. Went to the above link today and asked them to better the 50% off showing in my sky.
He said he couldn't. So I said oh well okay. Then his 'specialists' said 50% off and £100 account credit.
I said sorry that's more expensive than a freesat PVR (she just has the basic family bundle). So he said he could do that with no contract.
Basically 5 months free sky for her than I'll stick another cancellation in and do the same again.
But as above the cut off is when it cost more per year than a refurb freesat box from humax direct.
I know that seems daft as buying a freesat box would mean never haggling again etc but she's happy to pay a bit for the extra channels.Sigless0 -
2 weeks ago, I cancelled my sky package.
Last weekend I contacted them via Live Chat and needed up with 50% off any package ( multi room not included) and £100 credit on my account.
It took 13 minutes in total. To infinity and beyond!0 -

I canceled nearly 2 weeks ago and iv had absolutely had nothing in terms of offers. They give me a petty offer of 20% for 6 months and I've not heard since. I've logged into my sky and there is no offers, i have no email and i have no letters, so i just wonder how on earth are people getting offers minutes after cancellation.0

I had the rubbish offer via Live Chat when I cancelled and then an email about 2 weeks later but the app is where it offered 50% off. I thought it would be in my online account so I logged in daily but nope, download the app and you'll probably have an offer.#27 £2016 in 2016 = £763.61
#42 £2 Savers Club = £160
*Savers Club not included in overall 2016 savings until the tin is opened and my estimates have been confirmed later in the year.0
