Found a link on another website to the specific livechat for cancelling cancelation notice, https://secure.sky.com/mysky-extras/stay-with-sky
and was offered 50% and £50 immediately. I asked for 60%, the guy declined but offered £100 credit... and I was pleased to accept.

Much easier this year, very straighforward and quick. So now overall my monthly cost is actually £5pm less than the year just ending. Also no new contract.

Just used this link and I've been offered 50% off my full TV package which includes family pack, sports and movies and HD and free broadband. The TV package is not on a contract but the discount is for 12 months and the broadband is free for a year on a 12 month contract. I didn't get any extra credit but this is the best deal I've ever negotiated for anything so thanks to everyone for their help!

So total savings £612 for the year! Monthly cost £57.90 :) Also includes free Sky Go.
    #27 £2016 in 2016 = £763.61

    #42 £2 Savers Club = £160

*Savers Club not included in overall 2016 savings until the tin is opened and my estimates have been confirmed later in the year.
  • I just bought a 2T sky + HD box online, to replace my old 500gb box that was playing up. Mint condition with new leads and remote, £117.00 with free courier delivery. Same company do them for around £89.00 without the leads and remote. All boxes produced by sky now, so more reliable. Look on eBay.

Had an interesting webchat with sky the other night.

We were given a friends and family voucher to get a discounted package but wanted to clear something up with sky go/go extra. the chat lady got a bit carried away and more or less started putting the order through at which point i told her we had a code. She asked for it but the good lady (my OH) had it on her phone and was ringing someone at the time so told the sky lady she was working. She said thats ok and carried on with the order, then later asked if i could contact oh to get code, i said i couldnt as she couldnt answer and it was ok would sort it later. The response was, ill see if i can find you one. At which point the OH had got off the phone and started ranting about how her friend wouldnt get the commission because the code is assigned to her. I panicked and closed the chat.

Dont know how far it wouldve got without providing the code and naturally this isnt honest if you dont have a code but thought it interesting none the less.

£30 for full tv package (sports and movies). We were told by OH's friend that we had to have it booked in by 24/03 or the offers finished. O and we got a prepaid £25 card too.

You cant have been with sky in the last 12 months.

If you know anyone who works for sky try asking, they seem quite liberal with the codes. (weve had a few over the years)

To be honest all I did was give notice to cancel the tv, as suggested in the thread and got the 50% off offer and added the sports with HD. this comes to £36 per month.

With the broadband I tried through the chat, said what deal could I get, was offered nothing, put notice to cancel. Couple days later got an email offering free line rental for the year. Went into chat and got through to their Indian centre. Cheekily asked if there were any deals for fibre broadband, guy instantly offered half price for 12 months and waived the activation fee. All I did was be polite and kept him updated on the cricket score as we chatted (think that helped as well)

Nothing really special to be honest. Although saying That, I did start an order with VM to switch to their broadband and phone (super 50). When I called to cancel the order they immediately offered it down to £22pm incl line rental (averages £31pm over 12 months) so that's something to consider if the sky fibre is no good. As I'm keeping the order pending (not forgetting my cooling off period)Might even double bluff and call to defo cancel the VM order in the hope of a bigger discount, or that just too cheeky?

Hi, left sky last May and now looking to return. They have offered £25 monthly for the full TV package for 12 months. However I don't get a new box, just the old one without the wifi. Apart from the wifi are there any differences between the sky box and sky plus box with wifi?

You can get some crazy good deals from sky as they would basically prefer to keep you for any profit vs you leaving for BT and the like.

I currently have sky family and sports with HD, Multi room, phone line and unlimited fiber for £29 per month. I managed to get 2 separate credits applied which came upto £175. Got free PH, 1/2 fiber and 60% off TV. I hope this war with BT goes on forever.
