Hey Lou,So you ended up accepting a new deal that is £40 a month down from £109?

Your next bill will not change until the final payment from the previous amount is taken.

When you log into sky click on check your package and furter down the page it will tell you the cost of your monthly subscription, it should hopefully say £40 and if it does then everything should be fine :)

    Sorry mikeizz, I wasn't clear.

I cancelled the full TV package so the £40 was my broadband and line rental (which will go down to £25 in May). I didn't take the discount they offered as it wasn't enough. I'm holding out for a week or so then I'll go back on Chat and ask for a bigger discount. I was just panicking as I hadn't received any confirmation about the services being cancelled so I went back on Chat and it was confirmed. Just as the guy was about to offer me a discount, my connection was lost ARGH! Will try again next week.

I've since had an email to confirm my services have been cancelled so I'll log into my account and see if I have any offers yet :)
    #27 £2016 in 2016 = £763.61

    #42 £2 Savers Club = £160

*Savers Club not included in overall 2016 savings until the tin is opened and my estimates have been confirmed later in the year.

Oh , I understand now. Just remember to go on the thinking about rejoining us live chat and should be fine and don't accept anything less than 50% off and £100 credit. Another tip is to be nice to the person in live chat and address them by name and if they won't offer that much just disconnect and try straight again with someone else , good luck :)

Did you have to go through all the cancel screens to get the offer on multiroom? I've had a look at cancelling but don't get any offer, just the option to "cancel" Does the offer appear once you confirm you want to cancel?

Yes, if I remember rightly I went to the part where you can change subscription and clicked remove multiroom. It then had the page telling you what you were going to be missing out on, where you have to click cancel again. The next page then offered the discount.

I'm sure youd have no problem getting it reactivated through live chat should the offer not be available and it actually cancels.

Has anyone else had a letter from sky saying 20% off your sky tv offer? Says it is an exclusive saving of 20% off sky tv for 10 months when you stay with sky for another 12 months. After 10 months you will pay between 21.50 and 71.50 dependent on your package..

At the moment I pay £34 a month which is till end of May, anyone know if the 20% is off this?.. If I hadn't had got a deal from sky I would be paying £73.50 a month..

Yes I got the same letter and already receiving a 50% off for 12 months - not due up till June.

The small print on the letter says it cannot be taken in conjunction with any other TV offer.

Why on earth would they think I would give up a 50% offer with no contract to take a 20% offer with a 12 months contract?

i got another letter today - 20% of this time. Strange because I got a 50% off with £50 last week LOL

I went on chat in the morning, and the guy noticed some 'issue' with my account saying although I have an end date can't offer me anything until the account shows up some flag or other so he raised an internal case and asked me to call back on Monday.

Very strange. Oh well will try Monday.

Wonder why they are sending these letters out all of a sudden?.
Am gonna wait till May then cancel and see what happens on live chat..
  • I've managed to get an offer on the family package, but I've been told nothing available on phone or broadband?

Has anyone had any success getting any deals on this lately?
You laugh because I'm different - I laugh because you're all the same

For my dad after about a week of cancelling his broadband. he got an email offering free line rental for a year.

So went on live chat and they said yes he can have that but will charge for unlimited broadband which is £7.50 a month , so that is what he pays in total for broadband and line rental.

They did ask to copy and paste the email which i still have so if you would like that info send me a message :)
