That's the deal I was holding out for, but after it being off for a few days, I'm not sure I want it back on.
Will give it another week and decide.

That is exactly what happened to us, we all found that we did not miss it at all and bought a couple of Freesat boxes with the money we saved from Sky.
  • I was with my dad last week. As I have advised previously, he has not had a decent b/band connection for several months so, why I was there, I complained to sky and got an engineer to visit for free. Result...he has been given a free latest WIFI router, some free m/filters and free phone-to-router line. His b/band is working fine now and he is happy.

    Well well well.
I got a real stroppy (North East Lass) in retentions this year in my annual cancel crusade.
Better opening offer than usual of 50% of TV with sport and movies and £4 of multi-room to keep the charges exactly the same as currently. However only for 10 months and on a new 12 month contract. Last year I also got a £50 credit.
Adamant no win back team will call (Possibly correct)
Adamant no email / account offers lol
Adamant everyone on every blog/forum telling lies lol
Finally adamant her deal is the best there is lol
Then proceeded to talk out loud all of this on my notes.

Just looked in my account and I now have the 50% offer for 12 months, talk about chancing her arm.
Think I will call back shortly.

Livechat just offered Half Price 12 months. Half Price HD. Half Price multiscreen. £50 credit.
I accepted and connection lost grrrr

Currently now on hold on the phone to some chap in london.
He is trying to set me up manually as my account is probably frozen with livechat in Timbuktoo.

Job done at head office and whisper "the winback team does still exist" shhhhhhhh
Just under £40 a month for 12 months including credit for Tv with sports/movies/Hd & multiroom.

    See you in a year.

Had the 60% 100 GBP deal last June. Got to point where credit ran out and canx Nov 1 for Dec 1. Sky rang me 10 days before canx effected and gave me 50 GBP credit not to canx. Thank you very much sky. Thats 8 months free and a 75 GBP spend for a SKy sports world year wow. The speel i use now is Im going to BT and already have broadband but BT are giving me free BT Sports and I got 5 months to run this gives them chance to offer a 100 credit.

I'm very surprised, as in June you said you had the 60% off offer , £100 credit and a new box with a 12 month contract . As that is only 6 months ago, you are in minimum term so Sky would not need to bribe you not to canx (cancel?), as they can charge you for the whole minimum term, there being no tv price rise.
  • Cancelled on Friday and Sky presented me with 2 offers:

50% off for 10 months minimum 12 month contract

    or

33% off fixed for 5 years minimum 12 month contract.

Time to play the waiting game......

Definitely worth waiting, in my experience!
That is exactly what they offered me when I was on Live Chat with them to cancel.
Sky is now off , has been for about 2 weeks, offer is now 60% off any package for 12 months plus £100 credit to my account.
See my earlier post 8173 for how the offers have progressed.
  • After a 30 minute chat session, got my £41 package reduced to £22 a month with new 12 month contract. Not difficult to get it reduced and will certainly have another go in 12 months..

Give it a go, what's the worst that could happen ??
  • My 50% off TV deal with sky finishes during January 2016.

Phoned sky yesterday and the best deal they could offer me was 35% off for 12 months.

Phoned again today and they are now offering me 50% off for 10 months on a 12-month contract. I declined and have given them my 31-days cancellation.

I am after what I currently have; namely 50% off and in no contract. I will try on-line chat later today and hope that I get someone from India. They offered me the deal last year.

The bluff game has started. It has always worked me over the last few years.

Check your MySky home page. Many have the 50% offer minutes after cancellation.
