In all the years i have used virgin this is the first time i hadn't secured a deal after my offer period has ended. I can get the same for £44 from sky for 12 month that virgin are charging me £60 for soon to be £72. They would have kept me with everything at £50. going down to freeview 50mb and phone at £32.99 till may
only difference to me is internet speed.
is anyone else finding it hard to get a deal out of em.
gonna get sky for tv only by refer a friend £125 prepaid card and 50% off for a year .
total by splitting is £46 a month plus a £125 prepaid master card so in essence £36 a month.0 -
Well it's taken 2 weeks but we've had our first offer from Sky via email. 50% off any tv package and £50 credit. Let's see what they offer in another 2 weeks!0

My broadband and phone is up in about 2 weeks. Now the question is, should I wait until the end date or haggle now? In my experience they apply new discounts immediately, so I'll lose out on 2 weeks ish free line rental I've prepaid for (did the line rental saver thing last year). But if I end up leaving (which I don't mind doing, broadband is broadband) and leave it until then I'll end up paying full price for a few weeks. Hmmm..0

If you're talking sky, you still get your agreed discount during your notice period. If you take a new deal though, and it's less than the discount on your current deal, the new deal will apply straight away so you could lose out that way.0 -

That's what I was thinking. I can't really win. I think I'll wait it out for now. Cashback deals on other ISPs aren't great atm anyway. If you're talking sky, you still get your agreed discount during your notice period. Current sky landline & bb deal finishes in January. Would I be able to negotiate now or should I wait? What deals are out there?0

Currently on the Family bundle out of contract £36 a month. After an hour of online chat trying to get a deal with adding movies, the best she could give me was half price movies for 6 months so said forget it.
She then said I could have my current package for £10 A MONTH for 10 months but I couldn't add anything extra on top, so I've gone with NowTv for movies and have Sky for £10!
Pretty chuffed!0 -

I cancelled tv with the required 31 days' notice, then left phone/bb down to 10 days left.
I was wiling to gamble paying full price for less than a month or losing 10 days' free line rental, on the grounds that I thought I'd get a good deal....and did so; the new deal actually being cheaper than the current one, so no loss.0
