Standard offer at the moment on the phone is 50% off for 10 months with a 12 month contract.

What do you think will happen when you come to month 10 when you have no leverage to cancel?

Surely much better to actually cancel and get at least 50% off for the full 12 months usually with no contract tie in?

At least I got £4 per month off line rental, which is equivalent to saving £20 per month off TV package for last 2 months. I can also drop sports for last couple of months - not a great hardship. And, in the past I've received an offer, when I asked to downgrade my subscription

Well as long as you're happy.

However my point was that you would have got at least 50% off the TV package for 12 months and you would also have got something off the LR/BB as they have realised that you were serious. Quite a few people have had free BB and an amount off LR for 12 months.

Taking 10 month offers on 12 months contract just reduces the offer.

Well I've had the usual 50% off TV for 10months on a 12 month contract via online chat. Not good enough so notice given. let's see what they offer now. nothing yet in my sky offers.

Ran up to cancel BB/LR + phone package but was offered 50% off line rental for 12 months. Took this and will review my Family TV package when the 50% off deal expires in May.

Did I read that the Sky+ recording facility is no longer disabled when you cancel TV ???

If you did, then it's wrong. Once TV is cancelled you will lose all recording features including live pause - no catchup services either. However once you renew the recordings will still be there and playable providing you still have a suitable subscription for the channels.

There is an offer, if you have cancelled tv and do not take up the 50% off for 12 months plus credit, of free Sky+ and broadband, if you take full price line rental.
  • Hi,
I have Sky and have the full package, BB,LR and Sky HD, Multiroom, Sky movies and sports and am currently paying £118 a month and it is due to go up soon too.
I rang up today and I spoke to someone having said I was thinking of cancelling and the best they would come up with was £22 off a month off of everything (£2 here, £4 there etc etc) which would be £100 a month (including the new increase) - I said I would talk to my OH as that still seems an awful lot to me.
Can anyone who has the full SP tell me what they got for their offers please. I was hoping I could get it down to £80 or lower a month but now I am not so sure and am looking at whether BT would be better. We don't have the option of VM where we are.

    TIA

50% off seems to be the going rate if you actually cancel rather than 'think about it'.

You have to cancel tv. Then, later, you can do a deal for all the services together.

Cancelling phone and broadband could be problematic, should your service cease.

As mentioned before I got 60% off tv and £50 credit. Just realised that my line rental & broadband are due for renewal next month. What deals has anyone been getting on these? TIA
