Tried yesterday to discount mums phone and bb by quoting the sse offer but all they would offer was £4 off line rental and £4 off bb for 10 months 12 month contract. They wouldn't budge and said to go with sse as it seemed a good offer! I got free bb and half price line rental when I did my own a month or so ago.
Has anyone got a decent offer on phone and bb recently from sky?
S-I-L got u/l fibre for £5pm and line rental for £9.99 pm -but he did these deals whilst also negotiating for his TV package -only thing they didn't/wouldn't discount was HD.0 -
I called SKY today to try and haggle down my prices from TV, Broadband and internet at £60 per month and was told that they are losing people to BT so do not want to try and keep them!!!
I have been with SKY for 8 years and I am really cheesed off with their service now but I am in a bad signal area for Freeview!!!!0 -

I cancelled with Sky, three weeks after leaving them I got a letter for 60% off tv packages plus £100 credit so in theory another £8+ off per month, it is worth sticking to your guns. I got NowTv to get me over the period without Sky.0 -

Feel like I got the greatest deal from Virgin. I had Virgin for 3years and then cancelled it as I moved in with my Girlfriend and her flatmate had Virgin already in the lounge. I was paying around £50 pcm for medium tv package and fibre broadband only.
Virgin outgoing customer department contacted me: claire.wearing@virginmedia.co.uk and said they would offer me a deal, I decided to add Virgin to our bedroom as I couldn't turn down the below and world cup was on at the time.
I asked for:
- Virgin line rental with free weekend calls
- Premier collection, xl tv with 1TB TiVo box & 2nd hd box (included bt sport at the time)
- 60mb unlimited broadband
- 12 month term
- no increase in cost during 12month term
- free install and setup
She offered me all of the above for £33 pcm and no setup/install cost. I have since completely cancelled as I moved to a property which Virgin could not service, but the deal was true to its word.
As most people have said, you must be willing to cancel before they take you serious! ;-)0 -
I was on similar package with similar paltry discount offer from Virgin. So I left a few weeks ago and set up an order for BT. About four days after I left I received a call from Virgin offering me my old package (with TiVo and router upgrades) at half the price. Should save me about £700 next year.0

I took up Sky on an offer for 12 months on the "original package" at £8 per month.
I went into my offers yesterday and it said upgrade to family pack for free. So I click on it and it said monthly cost for TV minus £8 (I'm currently paing £8 per month for original). - I thought great, they're going to give me Sky Family free for a year.
Then I click order and they've put my TV pack up to £14.40 per month.0 -
Gave cancellation notice by phone a couple of days ago. Used the come back to sky live chat link this evening and got the basic original package at 50% off for 12 months plus a £50 bill credit. Same as what I got last year in fact.
Was offered free broadband and £9.99 line rental as well but declined as I realised this would mess up my upfront line rental saver which I have a couple of months left on. Like andrewmp I am still in contract for the phone/bb.0
