Had another call with them today.... got 1/2 price Variety/Movies/F1 for 12 months, 30% off HD, Free fibre (std) install - half price for 12 months, half price line rental for 12 months... and cancelled the £1 voicemail charge.... now paying £52 per month. :-)

Just got a decent deal on my line rental and broadband with Sky.


Sky Fibre Unlimited £7.50 a month
Line Rental £5 a month


Very happy with that.

Rang up today and was offered 25%, and then 30% off TV, Line Rental and Multi room. Told them I wanted a larger discount but the woman could not do any better.
So I have cancelled. Will see if I get a call before the 31 days!

Just wondered how you did this ? Had you already cancelled ?

I just rang to cancel and the phone line automatically offered me 12 months 50% , then spoke to an advisor, who only offered me it for 10 months . He also wouldnt budge on HD (Ive never got an offer on this) .
Im on the free poor mans broadband, but want to move up to fibre so will haggle this as well.

Any tips on the best way to do both .. online or phone , or a combination of the two ?
Day off work tomorrow , so this is my mission !

I cancelled my sky over a month ago - was paying £57 for UL BB, line rental, entertainment TV (no sports or movies) and HD

Was offered 35% off throughout the month cancellation period

Then when the services were switched off last Friday, I phoned on Saturday and got 60% off TV and free UL BB. So now paying £49 for line rental, UL BB, entertainment TV with sports and movies, and HD. Another 12 month contract. Happy with that.

Bargaining power definitely increases once the cancellation period is over. Only downside is we have a new house phone number as the last one was cancelled but we don't use or even have a house phone so not bothered about that.

My cancellation went through 11th August. Got 35% discount letter but nothing more since...

Rang up to cancel, as my £63 package ( full sky tv package , 2 boxes , HD, sports + movies, u/l bb , weekend calls + line rental ) was going up to £103
I was quite surprised when the guy offered me the same package for another 12 months straight away, but I complained about European football games on BT sports , and got it down to £58 for another 12 months

I contacted Sky to haggle my rental prices and after about 10 minutes managed to get a saving of over £320 per year.This will pay for next season ticket.Yipee.

Managed to get my mums sky tv package reduced to 60% off for a year relatively easy - gave months cancellation notice then went on live chat just before it was due to cancel and they straightaway offered 50% which we declined and they then offered 60% for 12 months which we accepted.

Tried yesterday to discount mums phone and bb by quoting the sse offer but all they would offer was £4 off line rental and £4 off bb for 10 months 12 month contract. They wouldn't budge and said to go with sse as it seemed a good offer! I got free bb and half price line rental when I did my own a month or so ago.

Has anyone got a decent offer on phone and bb recently from sky?
