Got a mailer through from Virgin the other day. We only have stand alone broadband with them at £26.50 a month, have TV with sky. Anyway it was a very good offer they were enticing me with, 35% off all bundles which meant I could get the Big Khauna for £33.80 a month. Also along with that the offered Sky Sports & Movies for an extra £15 a month, all this was for 12 months with a 12 month contract and with the £16.99 phone line.
No brainer, I called up and was very disappointed. Got the £33.80 but they wanted £25 for the sports & movies. I told them until blue in the face I had the brochure in front of me with the deal and that they had sent it to me. They wouldn't have it, two separate sales agents and a supervisor.
Baffled, emailed customer service about but not holding my breath.0 -
Talk talk rang me to offer me a better deal but couldn't tel me what the deal was until I cancelled with sky as the new provider freezes new offer to transferring customers. So I rang sky advised I was leaving they've given me £10 off a month so from £51.13 to £41.16 plus 2 months free even happier I chose sky total savings £667.32 woop woop0

So , managed to get what I think is a good deal .
TV (inc sports but not movies) & HD for £34 for 12 months.
Line rental is discounted to £9.99 for a few months more
Then signed up to Fibre for £10 a month.
Im now a bit peeved as see theyre offereing free Fibre, tho you have to take up their line rental.
Just wonder whats the best deal people have got on line rentla or Fibre ? Thanks.0 -
The free fibre is only the capped option though, so if you've got the unlimited one then you are paying the current price.0

Seems virgin are playing hardball at the moment. I rand and cancelled on the 1st of September and got the expected call a few days later but they want to downgrade elements of my package to get a better price.
I currently have TV xl weekend calls and 150mb BB a tivo box and 2 HD boxes basically everything bah the movies including BT sport and premier sport. A year ago I went through this rigmarole and secured a good deal for 12 months, I got my price down to £77 a month from £115 but my year is up and this time they want to reduce my bb speed or dismantle my package not just give a discount.
Is it possible to get 2 deals year on year? I'm starting to consider sky for a 12 month then come back to virgin as a new customer...0 -
"£7.50 unlimited fibre, £6.40 line rental, £40 account credit."
Just been told that offer is only supposed to be if you have Sky+ and cancelled your TV , or sommat.
Chappie would only offer me £4 off my line rental. Better than nowt , but not massive.
Shouldve haggled the line rental when saying yes to fibre. Guess Im locke din now , unless i cancel my Fibre , which i dont want to really( as in a 14 day time slot to do this )0 -
I was on the full package including phone and unlimited broadband and my 50% off deal expired. Have now rang up and cancelled the lot with 31 days notice.
Question: Do people have to cancel everything including phone and broadband to get the 60% off offers or should i have just cancelled the TV and not the phone?0 -

I just cancelled the tv, I need to keep my phone number so if I was to change company it would be easier if they just 'took it over' as opposed to cancelling with Sky, I got 60% off plus £100 credit and got free bb on a separate discussion when I was talking of getting rid off the phone and bb.0
