Well, checked my Sky offers on the net and all that its saying is unable to show offers. However, have just checked my account through the tv and an offer of 35% off for 12 months is showing. Still not good enough so I may ring up in a couple of weeks to see what they will offer.
im the same as you,no offers online and no phone calls, but offer on interactive tv for 35%,looks like i will be joining virgin0 -
I got this in an emailWe'd love you to stay with us and keep all the TV you enjoy. That's why we're offering you 35% off Sky TV for a whole year. Enjoy great entertainment from £13.98 a month, plus a free Sky+HD box with free standard set-up.
I don't need a new box, I don't watch that much Sky Tv so I called them. My tv is already in the cancellation period so I asked what they could do for the bb and phone, I was offered £5 off line rental and £5 off bb for 10 months, I also have anytime calls so it works out for the whole 12 month new contract just over £20 per month, as this is quiet competitive and saves the hassle of the switch I'll go with it and use NowTv to catch up with the few programmes I do watch on Sky Atlantic.0 -
had it for 50% off for 5 years now and got the same offer when I rang to cancel a few weeks ago but declined, its just not worth it even at 50% off. They also offered £50 credit but still dont feel its worth it any more.0

While I was arranging my bb and phone discount I could hear another staff member in the background, she was very loud. It seemed someone was trying to get the complete bundle (going by the prices she was quoting) for 75% off. They do sometimes do 75% off as I've had it twice before but she was having none of it and shrieking "you want me to give you a package worth £xx for how much! You've saved yourself over one thousand pounds with us over the years!", she sounded really aggressive, I really felt for the other person on the end of the line, if it had have been me I would have hung up on her and rang back later to speak to someone to cancel the lot.0

I am currently on a no contract half price deal on variety pack for TV, ending next month, but phone and bb tied in until November. Paid line rental upfront last november, bb is £2.50 a month. Not entirely sure how to play this one therefore. I notice I'm being offered free bb for 12 months in MySky but that means a. line rental will become full price in November and b. if I were to cancel sky the bb would no longer be free I presume.
Tempted to take the free broadband and see what happens, then cancel the TV and see what happens with retentions offers. OTOH could I call up and get a retentions deal on the lot? I wish my contract end dates coincided, that would make life much easier and threatening to leave much more realistic!0 -

I once got a mail from Sky (when complaining about charging me for a replacement router) saying I had saved thousands on Sky over the years and I wouldn't get a refund of the charge.
It was like they think they're doing me some sort of favour, just because they over inflate the standard price and have to run constant deals.0 -
Just got off the phone from sky after they called me back..!
I rung up the other week after another price hike and said that i could get what i was currently getting with bt for 32 a month instead of 58..!
Couldn't do anything so went through and placed a cancellation on my account as i was already receiving a discount on the sports and nothing else could be done.!
Today, about a fortnight later, Matt from the loyalty team rung me and i explained the situation and that bt were offering a much better deal. To keep me as a sky customer he's offered me a 50 credit on the account and slashed the price to 40 pound a month for the next 10 months....!
Saving me around £250..!
Now why couldn't they of done that in the first place...!
I also mentioned that offering new customers a free 32' telly and giving existing customers a price hike i said doesn't go down to well and he agreed.!0 -
Last month, without me calling or answering one of their many calls, they gave me sky+ free for 6 months and £10 off the line rental for reasons I have yet to work out.
They are still sending me their 'best offer yet' letter which is 33% off for 5 years or something like that as well.0 -
Hi all, I have just Got BT to reinstate BT Sport at no cost and withouit extending the contract. It is my beleif that they should allow you to cancel all BT services in this situation as you are put at material disadvantge. They have offered BT sport free for a year and 3 months free TV.
Really i would like to cancel as i don't trust them anymore but not sure i would get the ombudsman to agfree given the offer they have made. Key issue for me is mid contract price changes- i really don't understand why this is ok. if we decided we wanted to pay less mid contract we would not be receiving a service for very long.0 -
after cancelling sky last week ,i decided to go online and haggle with online advisor
i had
sky family bundle with sky sports
ultd bband
phone line
ultd phone calls
this cost me 83 pound a month
i was offered 50 % off tv straight away said no and was then offered 60 % per cent ,i asked what they could do with phone and was offered 10 pound a month, but the advisor originally told me it was 12 months and then said 10 months,so i said forget it,he then said sorry it is 12 months and put my phone line down to 6 pound a month
so i have
sky family bundle with sky sports
ultd bband
phone line
ultd phone calls
all for 37 pound a month
im more than happy with that0
