Anyone struggling to get on live chat this is what I did today search for come back to sky then click on come back to sky returning has never been easier link and live chat available.
I have just got this deal 60% off variety with sports and movies, 50% off multiroom and 35% off hd pack £38.74 for 12 months with 12 month contract. Tried for credit but told credit offer expired end june anyway happy with what I got (was initially offered 50% but got them to do 60%)0 -
Just thought I would add to this thread following FloFlows experience of an aggressive salesperson. Last August I phoned to cancel my phone and broadband as EE were offering a better deal. I spoke to a really nice guy who couldn't have been more helpful although, admittedly, it was a long call. I was on the phone for about 40 minutes, but it wasn't at all unpleasant.
I guess its the luck of the draw.0 -

Hi,
I politely cancelled Sky TV on the phone yesterday (Variety+Sports+Movies+Phone+BB full cost = £82).
I also came up against a very determined/quite agressive call centre worker (this is understandable as they have targets). But once the cancellation was confirmed, that clearly set everything else in motion. The "Offer to stay" came up in My Sky overnight - just that, no actual mention of what was being offered. I clicked on the live chat this afternoon.
They asked me what offer I could see in My Sky. As I could not see any actual offer, I went with what you MSE stars have been saying and said: "50% off for ten months for TV".
It then took a few minutes, but I haggled to 50% off TV for the full 12 months. They said they could not do 60% or offer any voucher towards a reduction.
Then I asked about phone + BB and quoted the SSE offer, which is £12 line rental and free BB for up to two years. Sky offered line rental of £9.99 for 10 months and free unlimited BB for 12 months. I tried to get them to do the reduced line rental for 12 months. No dice. Also tried to get HD. Also no dice. I got impression that was all I could get. Maybe it's just a matter of who you get on the Live Chat? Maybe I needed to be more persistent.
Anyway, total monthly cost down to £42 is not a bad result. The Live Chat operative said I should call back next month and speak to the TV team to see if I could get HD added for free. They also suggested I should contact the BB team to see if I could get the BB upgraded to SuperFast Fibre.
Hope that helps some of you0
