I would like to cancel but the biggest trouble i am actually having is connecting to the online chat to cancel. It is an absolute joke i have been waiting for 30 mins and it still says agents are busy! I only want to use the chat route to cancel incase i get an offer. I am afraid if i cancel my phone or email they will just say bye. Has everybody else "cancelled" by using online chat?
The trick is to hover over my sky and click on the " left sky in the last 12 months link" connect to chat on that and ask for cancellations they put you straight through0 -
Subscription ended last month. Today I was offered 50% off which I declined. Then I was offered 60% off which I declined. Finally I was offered 60% off + £50 bill credit which I gladly accepted.0

Hi
I've cancelled Sky because it was far too expensive and one week on they've offered me 60% off my TV package in an email and half price broadband, does anynone know from experience if I hang on they'll come back with something better? They say this offer is only valid until 18th June so don't want to miss out?0 -

How much better do you want? This appears to be the ceiling of their offers.0 -
Didn't think it would be possible to better my offer of last year but managed it, just. Last year I paid £26 for everything excuding movies and multi room(phone and bb + HD included). This time I've managed to add Movies and Sports in HD, Family Pack, Phone line and BB, Multi room with a sky + HD box for £30. Its still a lot but these offers make it easier to stomach.0

My Sky had gone up to £66.75 a month. When I called to cancel they would only drop it to £48.
So I cancelled and 5 days after it was switched off I receive a letter from them offering me 60% off!
I had family bundle, Sports, HD pack. No phone or Broadband.
They are offering Family bundle for £14.40 a month for 12 months.
They are offering Sports for £10.20 a month for 12 months, and the opportunity to add movies for £6.80 extra a month.
Add HD and I would have my old package for just over £30 a month. If they had said this on the phone I would have stayed with them.
But I have said goodbye - it's a principle sort of thing0 -
I went on live chat with Sky yesterday and have accepted their offer of 60% off plus a cash credit of £20.
I'll be paying £33.45 p.m. for Family Pack, Sports and Movies and HD.
This is for 12 months and a twelve month contract.
Shame I didn't find these forums years ago....:o0 -
I gave my one month notice last month so now disconnected. Got a letter by post offering 60% off Sky TV and £50 credit.
Went to the left sky in the last 12 months section on their website (after reading it on the forum) and saw 60% off plus £100 credit.
That's effectively:
£22/month for Family+Movies+Sports+HD for 12 months.
I think that's the best we can get this summer lol but if anyone else has something better please let me knowbefore I take the plunge.

I was gonna go with Virgin when I was looking for a cheaper deal than Sky, was offered £84 a year for sport, films etc, broadband and phone, all sounded good, then when I ask questions this was only 12 months, yet you had to sign up for 18 months.
After 12 months the price would go to £116 for 6 months..
Glad I waited and got Sky knocked down to £34 quid a month..0 -
