I'm on a 12 months 50% offer ending mid July,
rang to give notice last week, took an hour and was offered numerous deals, all were slightly more in money and loss of certain channels,
i declined them all.
logged in to my account to check my final bill and there was already an offer on screen to stay with sky, 50% off for another year, what i asked on the phone earlier but they couldn't offer it me that low again!
rang back to accept the offer and told no i can't have it?
they said it's because I've just had other offers put to me, even though i rejected them all.
very tempted to say no "if" they call me back soon but could do with sports on ready for the ashes.0 -
My girlfriend and her kids are moving into my home in the next 6-8 weeks. I have never had Sky before but I know she wants it including Sports.
What deal should I be hoping or holding out for?0 -

I had exactly the same last week. Used the Live Chat button that appeared next to the offer and organised it that way. Also means I have the transcript of the offer.
Is the offer still on your My Sky page? Use the Live Chat option and try again.0 -

Been with Sky for nearly two years, and wasn't thrilled when I got the letter saying they were going to put the prices of everything up. Called them today, and after half an hour of (mostly the customer service agent) chatting, was offered a discount of £18/m for the next ten months.
I know I probably could've held out for more, but I'm not going to argue with a £180 saving. Plus, I'm halfway through The West Wing, and he threatened to take my boxsets away if I wanted it any cheaper!0 -
I currently have basic plus sports paying £58 pm
I rang to cancel, redundancy, champions league on BT Sport etc and I was willing to pay up to £30 pm to stay. After lengthy call they accepted my 31 days notice.
Sure enough, 4 days later I got the call and eventually retained at £30.81 pm
It is strange though. TV on 10 months 50% discount and HD on 12 months 35% discount. Don't understand why they don't do both deals over same period.
Also I don't understand why they keep you on hold for so long???0 -
My SKY contract runs out in a few weeks and I currently have TV, Phone and BB with them.
I've already had an email offer for 20% TV for 10 months which I ignored. If they don't beat that I'm going to cancel as it's too expensive.
If I were to cancel everything and then move to someone else, do I have to do anything about my phone line? I heard that if I get cut off before I go with someone else I have to pay an activation fee again?
Or can I just cancel and then move to someone else before it expires?0 -

Likely to be a cessation fee of £30 plus a possible activation fee.Or can I just cancel and then move to someone else before it expires?
You can simply cancel the TV. However with the phone find someone to move to and get them to initiate the transfer. Do not just cancel especially if you want to keep your number.0 -
My half price tv deal is due to end in 2 months time. Anyway have been considering taking my broadband to bt - have broadband only with sky, phone is with bt.
Went onto live chat today asking for mac code.
They gave this deal as follows :-
Free broadband for 1 year, i do still have to pay the 5 quid supplement for not having sky talk - so really i am paying 5 quid for broadband for the next 12 months.
They also gave me their latest sky hub for free, i have been reading that it is rubbish though, and thirdly they gave me a 50 quid credit.
Will still be cancelling the tv in 2 months time so that i can get that for half price as well.
I have been with sky for 14 years, which they did mention, not sure if you are more likely to get deals if you have been with them for a while, probably not.
As a heads up i have been paying half price for the tv element/hd part of my sky package for the last 4 years.
The last time i did have to go without sky for 3 weeks before i got my current deal.0 -
i cancelled 3 1/2 weeks ago, contract ends thsis Sunday and im yet to get a call or letter or email yet! I dont think they want my money0
