Did you cancel, then go back to live chat to get the offer?
I cancelled on live chat around 1:30pm and at 3:30pm I went to the Have you left sky in the last 12 months page when you hover over my sky. Told them I had a 35% offer in my online account and Asked if they could do better and came back with 12 months 50% off :j0 -
Last year 50% expired this week and subscription back to £71. Cancelled subscription 3 hours go and 50% offer now showing.
Just used live chat and accepted this.
Another years half price sky for me.Wins: £400 (Win O’Clock)0 -
just got off the phone with sky with a brilliant offer!
bit of background i have currently...
sky tv with movies in HD
1 multiroom box
2tb sky+hd box and 500gb sky+hd box
NO phone line though
after being on the phone for about an hour i told them i wanted to cancel due to a few reasons,
1. my sky 2tb box stopped working on 2nd may i called sky to arrange a visit, was told next date was 9th may...... unfortunatly i was taken into hospital on the morning of 9th may and i called sky to inform them i wouldnt be in and they rearranged it for the next day 10th may due to my curcumstances.... next day came no engineer i rang sky again to be told i wold have to wait another 8 days for next visit......16 days without the use of my main sky tv box...
2. i called back in february 2015 to cancel and i was offered 50% off my whole package for 12months i accepted... recently i took a closer look at my sky bill and noticed it was 35% he had taken off not 50% and the offer was only for 10 months which i was angry at because i feel like i was lied to to keep sky!
i was paying £48.50 a month
after a long conversation with a nice man from sky i now have the same deal but at £36.50 PLUS a credit of £30 for the time i had no sky for 16days, then another £100 as a goodwill gesture!
so a credit of £130 and bills down from £48.50 to £36.50 i wont have any bills for a few months!Debt Free by Dec 2015!
Current Debts
Total Debt at LBM (1st Jan 2015) £1661
Total Debt Left to Pay - £334.710 -
Just started the ball rolling for my parents last 3 bills from Virgin have been over £100 phone bb and TV (nothing special other than sky sports).
Comparative quotes from BT and Sky are around £60!
See what the retention steam can do tomorrow.0 -

As a comparison, I have -
Sky Tv (Variety), Sky Movies (SD), Sky Sports (SD) for £17.47 per month.
(Was £22.50 however received £100 account credit).
If this was increased to Sky Tv (Family), this would be £19.87 per month.
If I added Multiscreen (with a Sky+ Box, not the normal one), this would be £19.87 + £11.25 = £31.22 per month
If I removed Sports, it would be £29.22 per month.
I am unsure how much extra HD Movies are?
Note 1 - When I spoke about Multiscreen, I was offered the usual poor free box (No pause etc). I asked and was given the Sky+ box for free.
Note 2 - As you now have 4x Sky Go accounts. Find a family/friend who will pay you £5 per month for access.(Movies/F1/Football)
Note 3 - Sky Movies has a 31 day notice period..
The £30 credit you have received was for the loss of services. £48 / 30 x 16 = £25.60
The £100 credit be is dressed as a goodwill gesture is what people have been getting on this thread. Its usually 60% and a £100 credit....

The note 4 isn't an iPad. It's a Samsung tablet. The iPad is an Apple tablet.
Sky doesn't have an aerial, it has a dish. Is that what was broken?
That's because you don't have an iPad. You have a Samsung tablet Note 4 which wasn't compatible with Sky Go last October but which now is.
Watching in HD is nothing to do with broadband. On Demand would need a BB connection though. What do you mean by didn't connect it to your phone?
Sky Go is free. Sky Go Extra is chargeable unless you have multi screen. Did you sign up for Sky Go Extra?
Help with what exactly?0
