Got offered Sky package - BB, Sky Talk Unlimited, Sky TV with movies and sports for £64 p/m

How does that compare to others?

I was paying £41p/m for family pack and normal phone line before.

Have you got a mobile phone? Do you need a landline phone? If not, i would advise throwing the handset in the bin...

    Splitting the deals...

Tv - Family, Sports and Movies was £26 a month.
BB - Phone and Broadband was recently £16.40 per month line rental, with Free Broadband.

    £42.00 Total...

Is £22 worth Sky Talk Unlimited?

They will ask you for all your details.

excellent. Got on it really quickly. Am on chat now. Will report back shortly to see what they offered. I dont expect I'll take up the offer unless its a really good one with cashback.

Not sure what to say about Broadband. :(

So not a great deal then by what you say?

How much do others pay? Just want some comparison to see how much I can screw their knuckles by.

    via chat I got offered

    £18 p/m for Family pack (50% off).

Then was offered a £50 credit on top of this.

Was a decent offer but then I enquired about a new box (this is very important - old box is more or less dead).

I was told no new box.

    So I declined the offer.

Will try again sometime next week.
  • I have just been in contact with sky and have got a £25 reduction on my bill for 6 months. While this is not as much as some have obtained I am happy with it. This includes sky movies, family pack, broadband with weekend calls for £64

You could push them upto 60%, it will be a "this chat only offer...and they will deny it next time"...

Then go "erm.." "Can you not go some more on the Credit?" as you wont give me a new box, and i will need to buy a new box.

Then i would look on eBay/Gumtree etc for the Sky+ HD WiFi box, they seem to be around £20-£30.

The question i have is... Do you have a twin core from the LNB? As the new boxes have twin core inputs... (watch 1 channel, record another)...

    If

When I sorted a deal for my Aunty a few weeks back they would either go 50% off and a new box or 50% and credit. Not both. I tried several times but not was a total no go.
