I'm 2 weeks into my cancellation period after being a Sky customer for 13 years. I've never had a discount, (more fool me), and am looking for a serious offer in order to stay.
Could anyone tell me where these offers are in My Sky? I go to Upgrades / Offers and there's nothing there apart from an offer on Fibre. No live chat, no sorry you're cancelling your TV. Nothing.
Am I looking in the right place!?almost glimpsing the light at the end of the debt tunnel...:j0 -

As has been mentioned numerous times in this thread you call them up, select the option for if you want to cancel, then you'll most likely get a standard 33% off per month offer. Resist it and cancel anyway and watch the phone calls come in to give you better offers.
Let thebsky cancel and wait a further few weeks and they'll more than likely call you themselves with offers. The more you resist the better the offers are0 -
Got switched off on Friday and the only offer I got was a 35% letter.
After receiving that letter I went through the livechat on staywithsky link but he didn't have a clue about the 35% and could only offer £10 off even though he said I was a valued customer of 8 years! He mentioned ringing back and asking for the Win Back team, I didn't bother as I was expecting them to ring but nothing.
Besides couple of initial calls when I first cancelled which I missed (googled the number) I haven't had a call. Also nothing showing on my account.
Did pay around £60 a month for variety + sports, I would go back for 50% off but if they do ring i will try for more thanks to reading the posts here. If not I am not chasing them (even though the missus is missing it!).0 -
I cancelled weeks ago and service stopped about two weeks ago. Had lots of calls when I first cancelled and then nothing until today. I am happy with what I walked away with which is three months free (entertainment and movies equivalent to £60 credit) and 60% off which makes it £12 pm or £18 if I keep movies.0

Thanks for all your replies. I keep meaning to phone sky and then forgetting - i guess that's how they get you year after year paying what they want! I am going to do it tomorrow.
I tried getting a MAC code to cancel the BB last year and sky said I didn't need one to transfer from them so that didn't trigger any offers at all!0 -
Received the MSE email today and decided to call sky to ask what incentives they have for loyal customers (I've been with them 15 years) to stay with them. Was initially offered 10% discount for 3 months which was nowhere near the offer for new customers. Was put through to their 'value' team and was offered a discount of £23 for 10 months plus MUTV free for 2 months. Total saving £242. Well worth making the call.0

Hi all,
Quick bit of advice if you will.
About 8/9 months ago, I was able to rejoin Sky with 60% off for 12 months and £100 credit, but not tied to a 12 month contract, thanks to this board.
I actually thought I had done the 12 months, so was on live chat to cancel last week, when they informed me the 12 months was due in September, and that I was able to cancel, but I would not be able to get any further offers from Sky.
I wasn't sure what to do, so cancelled knowing I could reverse my decision with 31 days.
I have since been receiving calls from Sky which I've not had time for, but spoke to briefly, and they want to go through my account to try and stop me cancelling.
I'm just wondering if:
a) the person on live chat was true and I won't received offers anymore?
b) what's the best I can hope for from the retentions department on the phone when they call back?
c) Should I just reverse my decision, carry on with the 60% off till September and then cancel for the best offers?
Thanks0 -

It was quite clear from my post that I have already cancelled by phone and am currently within the notice period. I was asking where in 'My Sky' I should look for the retention offers as I can't see any.

I've just called Sky and been given an offer. I don't feel like it was enough so I've said that I need to speak to husband and will prob call back to say I am going to cancel.
Currently we are on the variety bundle with HD and broadband and sky talk (currently in contract until end of July for BB and phone). Monthly cost of all of this is about to go up to £55.15 and that's £39.15 just for TV as already getting BB free.
I was offered;
A reduction in my package to the original bundle + HD
Reduction in line rental to £11.40
Broadband for £2.50
Total of £46.65 for 10 months. I said it was too much and I am losing channels and he dropped to £41.65.
Have I just let a good deal get away? Any tactics for when I ring back tomorrow?0 -
Hi All,
I'm currently coming to the end of my first 50% off offer with Sky TV, despite being a customer for 11 years. My 12 month contract runs out at the end of June, whilst we are on holiday, and will be recording quite a few programmes. I have just rung and spoken to someone in retentions, who offered me a 35% discount starting from now. I thanked her, but declined. She said she'd keep it on file for me if I changed my mind.
Going through the disconnection and haggling process would be so much easier before we go away, but she said quite clearly that my 50% offer is on my account until 25th June. Does this mean that I would be unable to get another 50% - 60% offer before that date?
Thanks for any help.0
