Has anybody had a good offer on a Sky 2TB box?
Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.
  • Hi

Currently on Virgin M+ package but costs are rising. Thinking about moving to Sky but have had Now TV box in the last few months. Have had no other Sky services. Does that already make me a Sky customer and mean I would not get cashback for newbies?

    Many thanks

I had that today. I was disconnected this morning, and the 50% came up on mysky. Moved from family pack to complete, but it was £38.25. I agreed when they gave me £50 statement credit, so happy enough with that. Its 12 months offer.

I wanted a 2TB box but they refused to offer any discount on the £249 price, asked a couple of times (I was willing to pay £49 for it).

The "offer" on my MY SKY page has always been 35% for 12 months - although I have been offered a number of different variations of 50% off deals over the last month when I have spoken to Sky on chat or on the phone. Was this the same for you?

I'm due to be cut off today, so wonder if deals will improve after that happens.

When you are disconnected and then reconnected, do you lose saved programmes and series links on your box? Not that I have much there to be worried about.

no, you just cant watch or, record anymore. If you re-connect, all that you saved is still there!

    Thanks for the info.

Lo and behold a 50% offer has appeared in my My Sky page today to replace the 35% one.
  • Been with Virgin XL package for just under two years now. THinking of going back to Sky as Virgin is getting very expensive, plus TIVO still annoys me, not very slick.

Thinking of using the 40% coupon on this site and wondered if VIrgin would try and tempt me to stay with nice offers. Anyone else tried this using the code? I currently pay £125 a month but with the code I can get an extra box for the kitchen (three in total) and the whole kit and caboodle for £88 plus a £125 bill credit. I doubt if they can beat that.
  • Coming to the end of my deal, so going to try this again. What's the latest advice for getting a deal?
Currently paying £72 per month for:-
Family with Sports & Movies HD
    3 x MultiScreens

What sort of deal should I try to get?

I eventually settled for 12 months free BB & 50% off TV for 10 months plus line rental with a £50 credit to the account. So I've gone from £45.40 (I think) to £27.15 - plus the £50

Unfortunately I'd cancelled all services and didn't decide to accept this offer until 1 working day before services were cut off. Apparently they need 2 working days to enable continued service :(
  • Hi,

My sky deal ends shortly on the 21st Feb. Due to a mess up the cancellation only went through today although they have backdated it to the 21st January. I currently have sky tv variety pack plus sports and movies. It's due to go up to £60. As I was on a half price deal that has note come to an end.

When I phoned to cancel they offered me the following. Should I have accepted or will I be offered better?

Sky tv variety pack plus sports and sky multi room for one additional room all four £40.60 plus first month free. The lady I spoke to said I wouldn't get it any cheaper! Should I hold out our phone them back and go for it?

Thanks in advance for the advice!
