  • Well I had some time to kill today so decided to sound out Sky about when my last TV bill will be ;) I had already negotiated a couple of weeks ago for my phone and broadband at £12.50 a month so was only the TV left to do and I only had the Variety pack.

    Decided to go through Live Chat, however, through the "Come Back to Sky" link someone posted a couple of pages back as was getting nowhere on the LiveChat on my account...

    Asked when my last bill would be, guy asked me why I was leaving and I said my offer had ended and didn't feel it was value for money anymore. He offered me 35% off for 10 months and I said no, I was actually offered 40% off when I originally cancelled and said no to that. He asked me to hold on a couple of minutes while he spoke to his manager. Came back and offered me 50% off for 10 months, asked for 12 months, off to ask his manager again, came back and agreed to 12 months 50% off with 12 month contract :D I then got cheeky and asked to add on Sky Sports and Sky Movies so I'm now paying £30.50 a month for Variety, Sports and Movies, and £12.50 a month for phone/broadband. Total = £43 a month.

    Well done scottishgirl. Where is the 'Come back to sky' link? I will try this myself. Did you speak to them after your tv switched off or before? I have a week before my tv switches off.

    I'd just like to say that following on from Scottishgirl's lead I too decided to try the come back to sky link today. Was being cut off tomorrow and was immediatley offered a new HD box and 50% off for a year on the full package. I'm happy with that so I'm going ahead. Thanks for the heads up!

    The link was posted by someone a page or 2 back but it's http://www.sky.com/comebacktosky and I just went on the Live Chat there. I was 2 weeks away from being cut off and had had no contact from Sky whatsoever. Be prepared for it to take time though, think it took me about an hour on Live Chat.

    My contract ended in Dec, no phone calls or anything. Couldn't even see offers on the website - Kept saying 'Unable to proceed' even the normal sky 'Shop' wouldnt work... so I rang up to see why that wasnt working, to just be told its because I didn't have a sky TV account now etc - which doesnt make sense really as thats the whole point of the Sky Shop to Buy sky tv if you dont have it... not even the offers page

    Anyway was offered 50% off Sky TV for 10 months - was told they dont do 12 month deals or go over 50% now... Not tied into a 12 month contract tho and £35 credit to my account

    They call you & it's usually an 0800 number ;)
  • going to be an interesting couple of months, sky has so many customers currently on 75% off deals coming to an end, will be interesting to see how these play out. keep us posted guys :)

    Thanks. Just tried it - no luck for me. They didn't offer me anything and just wanted to transfer me to billing :( Guess I will wait till it switches off and go from there.

    Have another try, maybe just lucky who you get. I asked for switch off day confirmation and they just said they had some good deals. I said I'd need a new box and that the subscription was too high and they came straight out with the new box and 50% off. Keep trying!

    @hillwalker78 -did you already have a Sky HD+ box ? Or did they offer the HD box to replace SD ? Are you paying for HD now ?
