  • I received the same. Confirmation of broadband and phone but no mention of the TV, so I guess its the right thing.

I currently pay around £60pm for my package. I wanted to try and get it dropped significantly like some of you have managed.

I was offered a £10 pm discount (for 10 months only) on my talk/line rental deal. I refused and started cancellation talk in the hope a better deal may appear and unfortunately that was that. Guess I keep logging in to my account and see if anything better appears.

Been offered the 35% discount and free broadband for the year. More than happy with that but do I keep pushing?

Expecting a phone call from Sky tomorrow so I'm torn about whether I should try and push it a bit more

    Hi All,

After hitting a financial spot where things are becoming increasingly hard I have been going over the internet to find where I can cut back and save!

I found a package with BT which was 'nearly' identical to my sky package and therefore called Sky today to leave them. I currently pay £52.90 a month and was told they could decrease it to £38.99 for 10 months but tied into a 12 month contract. I said I could get the same elsewhere for £40.00 a month for the whole 12 months so technically saving money!

She didnt budge on the 10 months, just said there may be more offers when the 10 months is up.

I didnt mention the other choice had a £49 activation fee plus nearly £7 delivery charge :rotfl:

Said I would have to go away and think about it!

Is that the best thing to do?

No best thing to do is to actually cancel it. Only then will you get decent offers from their Retentions team.

Does this mean it will be completely cut off and then they will try to get me back?

Can I get a better deal than £39.99 for tv, broadband, weekend calls?

My current deal ends next month and I phoned to see what was available. Girl said no offers so I gave my notice which she accepted. Received an email from then telling me they were sorry to see me leave.
Just wait and see if they contact me

Keep working on them the first offer was 25% off multiscreen in the end I got 1/2 price for 10 months which I took with the 2TB box for £49

I them notice it was half price for 12 months so went on live chat and they have given it me for 12 months now. Along with my sky at 50% off:D

thanks, this is what I was looking for. Doesn't automatically come up on my offers. When I negotiated my annual 50% the other week they said they couldn't give me this :(
Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk

It will mean you will enter into a 30 days cancellation period. Offers may appear at that point or it may require being cut off. Possibly best to do this with your TV as it's more awkward with phone and Bb if you are cut off.

Depends on what tv package you're talking about but 50% off TV can be got.

If I accept the new price and then default, does this option get taken away from me?

    Sorry not with you here.

Have you accepted a new price? Are you now tied into a new contract?
