How did you manage that? - Did you just say you wanted to cancel? - Nice result!
Unlike others that bluff, I was planning to cancel and get Virgin TV (already have them for phone and broadband). I went through the cancellation process and got a call 2 weeks before it was due to get cut off.
The guy offered me the 50% for 6 months and the £50 credit. I asked if they could do 12 months but that was all he could offer. He left me to mull it offer and was going to call back in a couple of hours. But he didn't and two days later he still hadn't so I complained. They still only offered me the same deal so I said if they chuck in a Sky HD+ to replace my failing Sky+ multiroom box I'd take it. :beer:0 -
Was intending to cancel, but the very helpful chap at Sky offered to cut my bill from 53 to 36.70 for six months. 25% off tv and 50% of line rental. Not tied in apparently, so happy with that.0

I cancelled virgin media will see if they ring back.. She was adamant could only knock a few quid off. Whereas i was on an initial 6 months cheap deal.
If doesn't work will get the missus to sign up with quidco etc.0 -

£9.75pm for the basic package - 50p a month for the extra entertainment packs.
I get the feeling from this offer you can get Sky World for £26pm (which includes movies, sports and all the entertainment channels)
anyone have more info on this offer and whether it's still valid?0 -

What do you think of the following:
- HD box free installation/router/dish/phone line set up
- freetime phone use
-broadband lite ( I don't really download)
- all sports ( except ESPN) / all movies / news / music
Originally quoted £68.25 at which I oooeeeddd and ahhhhhhh'd after orginally stating £50 budget would be ideal. I mentioned a few other packages elsewehere and a couple of other offers. The nice chap said he may be able to get me free line rental for 12mnths ( That would be £147 saved) and could give me £30 for my account. After a short while he came back and said £50ish all in thus a saving of £219 and still giving me the £30 for my account ( 30 - £40 start up = -£10)
What do we think? Fair play the guy seemed to help me out0 -

Been with virgin since NTL days, in fact I still have an NTL box & a steam driven tv:). I have BB size L, phone size XL with £2 for 08 no's & TV size XL. I pay £ 49.99 for this.
Called disconnect team today and was offered Tivo 500 and an HD box for another room with the same package I have for £49.90 a month but with £49.99 set up fee, no monthly Tivo cost.
Don't know wither to take it or cancel....really object to the set up fee but they wouldn't budge on it.0 -
