Exact same here...my current "deal" is up on august 6th, the guy told me to phone back then to see what offers were available to me.!

System

How much should I be paying for Sky, long time customer:

Sky HD Box in living room.
Sky plus upstairs.
We have Sky movies and Skysports.

And also Sky Broadband Unlimited.


Currently paying £88 per month. (£73 for TV and £15 for BB). Is this too high?

Going to ring sky 2morrow to try to get my package price down from £34.75 pm - Can anyone confirm if phone number 08442410266 is the correct number to call to get some-one willing to play ball?

As I previously mentioned I have no plans to cancel , but everyone else seems to get it cheaper, so why not me - I have been with Sky for 15 years and never once have asked for or received a discount! - is it important to ask to get put through to cancellation dept? - Just want to get my speech right

go through cancellation dept tell them you want to cancell as you cant afford price anymore i bet you will get 6 month half price

Called Sky a couple of weeks ago and couldn't get more than 20% off SkyWorld for 6 months. Left it and called tonight to cancel. Guy was really helpful and i have committed to 12 month new contract for 25% off for 12 months. Also offered 25% off for six months if i preferred. Therefore £39 per month. Just come off six months half price at £26.

Took the 12 month option as i don't think i would have the nerve to ask for another reduction after 6 months!

So, Sky don't seem to be budging for me, as a new customer. I am thinking of signing up anyway, then in 6 months time try and say I am struggling to afford it and see if they will do anything then. Do you think that is the best way? Would really appreciate your advice!

Newbie here....Quick heads up on the deal i just received from sky as an existing customer.

Called 08442410266 option 4 cancellations, explained i was very intersted in Tivo from virgin as you can record 3 programs and watch a 4th...i was paying £21.50 a month for the 3 pack on sky but the really nice guy who i spoke to offered me all the sports, movies and my 3 pack for £24.50 a month for 6 months. I can cancel the premium channels from 29th December as well, comes with free sky go as well, as we speak i'm currently watching the test match on my pc! Result!

Anyway hope this helps someone..

I got 50% of for 6 months, £50 account credit and free SkyHD+ box for upstairs to replace my aging Sky+ box. This was just last week.
