  • I am with Sky until the 13th Sept then I am moving to VM.Sky promise so much but BB speed is terrible! Had problems with them for the last few months . I decided to try elsewhere and have now joined Virgin on a much better package. The managers at Sky promise so much but never deliver.

This was recommended to me by a friend - anyone can get it as long as you are a new customer :) Not available online I just called them and quoted a ref number.... Job done:j.

    152mb
    Phone Talk Weekend Calls
    1tb Box
    Extra HD Box
    Big Kahuna package
    BT Sport
    12 Month Contract
    Free Install

    Total.......£33
I decided to pay monthly but you can pay in advance for the phone saves about another £3 per month.

I have phoned them and this deal doesn't exist according to them?

What do I need to say ha? I quoted all of the items and said my friend recommended me and the best I can get is £50.99?

I phoned to cancel all my services with Sky yesterday (might have been day before). They offered me a deal of £60 something if I gave up movies and took away the multi room which I declined.
Today I have had an offer via email for free line rental. I suppose I should just keep waiting until they offer me something off our TV package as well?? We have TV, BB and phone rental with them about £80 a month.

I quit Sky TV over 3 weeks ago, gets switched off on Thursday. I've been offered nothing, others on here seem to get 50% or 75% off deals quite readily. On the plus side from Thursday I'll be saving £80/month. Hope you get what you're after from them.

Need to re add sky sports to my package after cancelling it over the summer but NFL back now!! Any deals or targets I should head for or will I have to pay the full £24 a month?
  • Dear all,

Apart of complaining, threatening to cancel, etc., is there anything the Sky offers to their number-of-years-loyal customers as appreciation of their long-no-trouble-paying-history?

    Thanks,
    Marivanna

    nope,

In fact even cancelling doesn’t guarantee you anything, I personally cancelled everything (TV first then phone line and fibre broadband after my TV had been switched off a week) and they have not bothered to offer me anything,

although not that I would go back to them, having had TV off for nearly 2 months and finding I don’t actually miss anything I can’t get elsewhere and also getting my phone and fibre cheaper and quicker from someone else I am wondering why I didn’t do it before

on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
    10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
    20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)

You are opted IN for marketing calls aren't you? Otherwise no one will call you or send you any offers. Also make sure they have the correct phone number for you. You can change the preferences on your MySky account so you may get contact after you cancel.

Same as ^above. You should make sure you are opted IN for Postal, Telephone and Email Marketing if you want these type of offers.

Thanks bubblegun. Yep, I'm opted in to all the contact channels. No offers received from them however. I do need to call them about using the Sky box as a PVR for Freesat, maybe then they'll come up with something.

Once again - Sky are offering a half price TV package for 8 months to NEW customers - sorry to be cynical - but what about existing / 10 year customers - why do we never get an offer ?

You do get offers if you cancel or, in some cases, just discuss leaving.
