I'll only be going back if the discount is 50% or more.
I've seen the odd person in the past state they have been offered sky free for a certain period of time. Has anyone been offered this recently?
Following on from this, did get round to speaking to sky and was first offered 35% off, which i declined, but then accepted the 50% off TV and another year of free broadband.0 -
had web chat with sky they offered me 50% discount on tv package and £50 credit so I accepted offer0

Just rang to cancel my TV/Phone/BB package with Sky. Got put through to retentions. Best they could offer me was 13% discount on my current package. So went ahead and cancelled.
Not too bothered as life without Sky is no big deal, it was just a convenience.
What does intrigue me, however, is the amazing discounts some folk here are offered on their first call to Sky. What is Sky's criteria for offering good deals to one person and then a crappy 13% to others? It did make me smile!!0 -
I had to cancel sky after it was switched off I looked at my sky there it was 50% off0

My sky tv/broadband deal expires in about 5 weeks time. I pay about £44pm for standard sky channels, my sports and unlimited broadband. This is ok but don't want to pay any more.
Been offered a deal which is £50pm for the same service because the current deal I am on is an introductory deal. This deal is a 2 year deal for free broadband but after 12 months you need to renegotiate the tv which is likely to go up another £5pm.
As said, I really don't want to pay more than £44. Should I cancel and wait for a call? Do you think I'll get a better deal than offered?
Another idea I had was to cancel sky and then get my partner to sign up to sky at a new address we will be moving to a few weeks after our sky contract ends?0 -
I cancel Sky Sports in May at the end of the football season, and get it back around this time.
Last year I phoned up saying I was very impressed by BT and was considering quitting Sky altogether. They then offered free sports and broadband for six months!
Will be doing the same this week.0 -

I saw the VM new bundles which advertised it slightly cheaper for new customers. I'm never a big fan who look after new customers better than loyal customers for many years. I currently pay £35-£40 a month and I called their customer service who couldn't do anything for me. I asked to be put through to retentions and they agreed to drop my price to £32.99 which includes everything in the big easy deal, new hub, tivo box. They couldn't match the new customer price but I found out you can pay line rental up front and get it cheaper.
Not a huge result but I think the smaller package you are on the harder it is to get a reduction.0 -
Well, gave my notice yesterday and was offered 35% off my TV package for 12 months. So Variety and sports down to £29.90. This offer is also on My Sky page as well. I said no thanks. However, if they did offer 50% off then I would definitely stay. Suppose I will have to wait for a call! Or should I online chat…..decisions, decisions.0

Just called Sky to cancel tv package for the first time. 3 years with them and tbh they've been ok to deal with. Terrible problems with old broadband but over a year on fibre now and it's been pretty good. To be honest i'm not expecting a call back or much discount if they do.
Paying them £62.40 per month for variety tv, unlimited fibre and sky talk.
BT quoting me for umlimited infinity 1, line rental and kids bolt on tv package-
£39.99 a month for the first 3 months, £46.99 a month from month 4, £48.99 a month from month 7
Think that's for 18 month contract but it also includes BT Sport 1,2 and ESPN.
Now that's cheaper even before quidco (is it really £200 at the moment??) and a £125 sainsbury voucher.
Anything i'm missing here other than the fact i've just read a lot of poor reviews about BT Infinity??0
