As others have said, the TV is totally separate to the BB/Phone package. IE: You can (threaten to) cancel one without affecting the other.
Best deal at the mo is EE via topcashback, 1 year upfront @£132 but, with, £131 cashback (so phone line virtually free for a year) then £2.50 pm for BB, so just £30 for the 12 months ALL IN!
Combined with my tv 1/2 price with sports for 12 months @ £24 - I'm happy!!0 -

...this is a great deal but as I understand it's plain vanilla BB not Fibre. I need Fibre if I've any hope of streaming Netflix and Spotify etc as my old BB was about 2MB...rubbish eh! :rotfl:
...so, for the EE Fibre deal it works out at £20.87 per month after TCB over an 18 month period compared to Sky's £35.40...I shall ring them now!
...what's the deal with the half price multi-room, is that a limited offer for new customers only? I desperately want to ditch that...it's at some point gone up to £11.25 per month, didn't notice that, bleedin' scandalous charge! ...unfortunately my OH really wants to keep it so she can have Sky in the bedroom :mad:0 -
Think it's only a 12 month commitment, plus, fibre is an option too, but dearer of course!0

Hi guys,
I have 5 days to go until my TV, phone and internet is disconnected. I've had no further phonecalls or offers since last I commented on here.
With regards to logging into mysky after the disconnection has taken place, what is the 50% off? I have Original, Sports and HD with phone and internet - is it 50% off the lot or 50% off the TV components?
I'm just wondering as I'm tempted to go with the EE broadband offer (£2.50p/m, £11p/m line rental up front and £136 TCB cashback), but would that affect 'rejoining' sky for the TV only? Ie: Would they want me to return with everything to get the 50% discount?
I'm in a similar position as you. I've rang up and cancelled at the beginning of July and had lots of missed calls whilst away on holiday but since I've been back I've had nothing. The EE offer is very tempting but would ideally like Sky Sports and everything they have to offer. I currently pay £36 and the best they could do was £52 when I rang to cancel. Really don't know what to do?!0 -

Well by all accounts any deal that they offer after everything has been cancelled will be on the TV so I figured they'll never match a £13.50 per month phone/internet package and £135 credit so I'm financially better changing the phone/net anyway and then hopefully waiting for them to tempt me back with a TV offer.0 -

I know a few who got free PL and BB from sky. I managed to get free PL and BB for a year and also have 1/2 tv + £50 bill credit. Normally would be paying around £80 without any offers which I will never ever agree to pay. If I don't manage to get a similar deal next summer I'll just cancel sky.0 -
Hmm, tried to get a better deal on Fibre BB but all they'd do is give me 50% off the BB...therefore a grand saving of £10 which really isn't tempting me. Unfortunately, unlike the TV where you can just cancel...prompting maybe a call offering a better deal...with the BB, it seems the first time they know you're serious about leaving is when your new provider contacts them for the switchover...bit late then ain't it?
Don't know what to do now...seems all the best deals (TCB and the like) are coming to an end this weekend :eek:0 -
I have currently had my Sky TV cut off for around 2 weeks (had 1 call during the cancellation period and was offered 35% which i declined).
Spoke to online chat last night and was offered 50% off with £50 credit on the following TV package with a 12 month contract:
Family Package
Sports Package
Full HD Pack
I do have my phone line and broadband with Sky also. The best they could offer me on this was the free broadband for 24months deal.
Im not to keen on getting locked into a broadband contract for 18 months (and if i cancel Sky sports after 12 months i will begin to be charged £7.50 a month).
Has anyone managed to get a deal on the phone line alone? i was told there were none when i asked.
The current EE deal is very tempting. What are peoples experience with EE on the Broadband and Phone line package???0 -
all 3 of my deals (PL, BB, TV) were arranged at different times. I managed to get free Phone line around 2 months ago. I saw a post on hotdeals saying sky were offering free PL if you agreed to sign up for 12 months so I did. Free BB came with sky sports but theres no contract there. Got 1/2 price + £50 early last month0
