Services due to end today (can't check because I'm at work) - just logged in to my Sky account and have the 50% discount offer.

So if I've given notice to cancel today, I should have an offer pop up in my account on the 30th May?

Nothing is cast in stone. Sky are not obliged to offer anything (but generally do).
You should certainly be checking what offers are available to you personally in a month's time, though.

Well I just had my call back from Virgin retentions. Managed to haggle the fella down from £53.49 to £34 with one month free.
That's for 60MB BB, M+ TV with a Tivo, and M phone with free weekend calls.

Not sure how that compares to what others have been offered, but it's a reasonable saving.
I tried to wangle a second box for free, but no luck. Did say he'd send me a Superhub2 which would be good as I've been trying to get them to replace the original for ages

Oh and I played hardball and got him to throw in a replacement TiVo remote :D

    Win!

Started a chat with the win-back team online, got offered the "standard" 50% off. I asked if that included HD and MR and he said no, a HD pack would initiate a new 12 month contract.

I said a new contract was a deal-breaker and that I'd seen/heard of better deals elsewhere so he'd need to try harder.

He went away again and came back with a deal of 60% off for 12 months, no contract, and the HD and MR packs included.

All told, I'm getting the full package for £41.30 for 12 months - £2 a month cheaper than I was paying last year on the MSE deal :T

How did you get to chat with winback team online?

And, how long were cancelled for?

    Cheers

The "Chat With Us" button appeared next to the "call us to get your 50% discount" message/phone number. I know it was the "win-back" team as it said so in the URL of the chat client

The day I chatted with them was the day my services were supposed to end but according to the wife there was no interruption to Baby TV (thankfully!!!)

Anyone know how that compares with the best offer (60%?) from Sky?

(Currently on ex-o2: "Family", Sky+HD, Broadband unlimited, Talk anytime)

My current sky deal runs out 27th may for TV, 11th June for calls/broadband.

I'm looking to keep the TV with Sky (for sports/movies etc.) but move the calls/broadband to Virgin (Sky broadband is shocking here)

Would I be better to wait until 11th may to give my 30 days notice for everything as a whole, or phone now and say I want to give my notice for the TV and see if they offer me 50% off everything?

If they do offer 50% off, reckon they'll let me keep just the TV and still cancel the broadband/calls? I'd upgrade to Sky Fiber but it isn't available here..

    Any help appreciated!

Just noticed lots of people saying they got "the 50% offer"..I was under the impression that the best offer from Sky was currently 60% off?

Can anyone confirm that the 60% offer has been withdrawn? If so I don't think I'll continue with Sky TBH.

My cancellation notice was up on 27th April, and there is nothing new in offers when i log in. Eeeek. I cancelled 26th March, and had a call 31st March, they offered £38 instead of the £70pm we have been paying (TV only).... and nothing since. I kicked myself for not accepting, but I was put off by the girl saying the offer was only available right then and there, on the call, and I don't react well to that kind of pressure.

Now what? Wait another week? Call that 0844 number on the website?

Panic over... the message has appeared on "My Sky" now... not under offers. Phew.
