My contract ended last Monday am. I phoned 5 times during the cancelation period but the best I go was 20% off.

Phoned the winback team that afternoon - not the 75% off I wanted but 60% for the complete TV hd package at £30.05 pm for 12 months, no contract.

    Cheers guys

My service due to go off on 27th. Email this morning inviting me to chat, we are sure we can find you a deal that's right for you, blah blah. Presumably better to ignore this and wait to be cut off?

Yeah i got that email before i was disconnected. Was tempted to call them up but decided against it.

Just ignore it & let them disconnect you. When you are disconnected log into your sky account & you should see a message with a "come back to Sky for an exclusive 50% off offer on TV.

Then ask for a bigger discount, which will be 60%. That's the way i did it anyway.

As said over and over on this thread, the best deals only come to those who let Sky actually end the provision of service. Ringing (continually in your case) during the notice period just indicated to Sky that you were not serious about cancellation...

My wife is now pregnant and im trying to save some costs….
I need to get this bill down...
Do I move to Virgin media VIP package which is ultimately more expensive
If you need to reduce costs, how is moving to a different supplier (with an increased subscription) going to achieve this?

Is it possible to keep phone/internet and get the same offer?

I let my package run out 5 weeks ago. I didn't call them apart from my first call to cancel. Think I had 2 calls off them in total.

Wasn't happy with what they offered so let it lapse.

Got an email last week about come back and get 50% off for 12 months, so I rang them last night and ended up getting 60% off for 12 months.

Got the same package I was on with HD.

I checked my account online and had a 'come back to sky with 50% off' offer.this was on the day my contract was due to cancel. I left it for a day and phoned when the sky tv actually shut down. I told them I had an email saying 50% off but spoke to an advisor this morning who offered me 60% but the phone cut off. The advisor went away for a few moments and came back and agreed to offer me the 60% :-) happy days!!
  • Please Please Please tell me what to say to get my package cheaper, I pay nearly £800 a year & ive been faithful for 8 years
