You can move the broadband to a new address free of charge.

As long as the exchange/relevant cabinets are fibre enabled of course! There are quite a few around the area I live that aren't yet.

The nearest exchange to me (which luckily I'm not actually connected to) currently isn't fibre enabled, and the Openreach checker says it's not even in the roll out plans. In fact, samknows says there is only BT and TalkTalk present as providers there.

If you move to a non fiber area, the contract (afaik) stops. Call sky to confirm.

Hmmm that's interesting. The guy on live chat told me I'd still have to pay, but then I don't think English was his first language so maybe he misunderstood my question. Will have to look into that if I can't find a better offer elsewhere. Thanks.

They don't specifically state 'free of charge' though. But maybe that's just me being cynical! :rotfl:

I'd definitely want to get it in writing but it's certainly something to think about.

They can't charge you for something you can't get.

When you move, if you go to a non sky (fiber or bb) area the contract stops. If not, the contract continues.

    Hi guys,

Ive been with sky for over 10 years now, ive got the whole package, currently paying around £80 a month (with discount)

My wife is now pregnant and im trying to save some costs, I work from home so need broadband..

I need to get this bill down, but I have just spoken with them and they didnt offer me anything apart from lowering the package.

Do I cancel it fully? and go through this process?

I love my sport, but I dont have BT Sports as yet, Would consider going to BT sport just as its free.

Do I move to Virgin media VIP package which is ultimately more expensive

    HELPPPP :money:
