The word you need to say is 'cancel' and go through with it.0

Sky are now offering a 33% discount!
Not sure if it's for all packages but i just asked (online chat) how much the original TV package (basic entertainment package) would be and it was £14.50 for the first 12 months.
The discount applies with or without movies/sports!0 -
My mum was wanting to get multiscreen from Sky installed which she would pay ; £49 for the 2TB box which is fair enough but they won't budge on £60 installation!Currently in a Protected Trust Deed - 17 payments until DEBT FREE - February 20270

I checked my account online and had a 'come back to sky with 50% off' offer.this was on the day my contract was due to cancel. I left it for a day and phoned when the sky tv actually shut down. I told them I had an email saying 50% off but spoke to an advisor this morning who offered me 60% but the phone cut off. The advisor went away for a few moments and came back and agreed to offer me the 60% :-) happy days!!
Well I am going to be discon in two days time. Have had one call from them offering the 33% which I declined. At what point should I check online to see if the 50% offer is there? I just logged into my account to check final bill and there were no offers, to be expected I guess?0 -
Anyone have any luck bartering Virgin recently? I just phoned up and told them I was leaving and didn't get offered much - just some cheaper prices for dropping down my services. So in the end I gave my 30 days notice, and will wait with my fingers crossed for a phone call offering me a better deal. Anyone know what the best sort of discount I should aim for would be?0

I have the TV Sky package including Sports and Movies, plus talk and broadband. I cancelled and my contract runs out on 1st May. I have had 2 calls from them, one offering about 35% off and the other from someone I couldn't understand but who did not seem to want to offer me any more discount.
From what I've read it appears likely that on the day my contract ends or soon after I should receive an e-mail offering me 50% off (hopefully).
My question is if I let it all end, including broadband and talk, and return to Sky with the 50% discount, how long will it take to have it all up and running again I.e. Does it take days/weeks or can it be done within hours?0 -

Broadband may take longer.
Depends how soon after the services are switched off that you return, basically.
Don't be counting on definitely receiving a 50% offer, it's by no means guaranteed and it's generally the TV (and perhaps broadband) where this is applied rather than across your whole subscription.0 -
Subscription ended on the 19th April but TV only stopped on the 23rd. Logged in to my Sky account and am getting a message along the lines of them being unable to show me any of my exclusive offers and to call the 08442 number. Reckon it's worth ringing them up or holding tight and seeing if I get an email of sorts?0

I've had that error since I cancelled - my TV is due to end tomorrow (26/04) so will see what happens. I've had two calls right after cancelling offering me somewhere in the region of 45% discount, I declined. We can live without Sky but it's a "nice to have" so if they offer me something, I might stay, if not, I'll plug a USB stick into my telly and use that0 -

Call them and tell them you have a flyer for a percentage off if you come back, customer service won't be able to access it on your account and they will put you through, though not sure if they can do this on a weekend so may be try Monday. Win back team will then sort it out for you. Good luck.0
