LOL...they used a similar line to me last year when I declined a 50% off offer, they said something like "that's fine, we'll also remove you from all marketing calls", a month later they were back on the blower again offering the 50% again....ferrett1961 wrote: »I declined again very politely and was told this would be the last communication! Called back today and was offered 60% off. Took that cause it was less than I was paying last year and it keeps the girlfriend happy.
New quarter for Sky and new offers. The dial-down on "winback" offers continues.
The winback offers for Q4 are 20% off, then 50% off then best offer of 60% off.
75% off has been withdrawn:beer:.
In addition these will be 12 month re-contract offers for most people, no contract offers are on the way out!:D0 -

If a new contract then this will mean a new Sky box if you feel yours is a bit worse for wear?0 -
Been with sky for tv phone and bb for 4 years never taken any deals and was on the previous top tv selection plus hd without sports and movies. My bill was 60.15 a month standard.
I submitted my cancellation last month and due to be cut off on the 10th.
After some weeks of thought I realised I'd probably rather not cancel the bb and phone due to the extra hassle it'll bring with changing or getting it back eventually.
I've rung this morning to ask not to cancel phone and bb and was told there is no way to do this, I can only stop it all cancelling - including tv. Then i was offered 50% off tv package for 12 months bringing new monthly bill to 46.65. Which is 28p more than my cancellation offer and if the maths is done not actually 50% off my tv cos. I obviously declined as I really only want the phone and bb back I can live if the tv went off as I'm not prepared to pay that.
Is it appropriate to call again sooner rather than later? Or best to wait a few days.0 -
If your whole package is going off on the 10th, I'd wait until then and simply re-subscribe to broadband and 'phone. Do be aware that the price of packages comprising all three services are deliberately "subsidised", so you may not find yourself considerably better off by only cancelling the TV-especially as you didn't have Movies or Sport. Is it appropriate to call again sooner rather than later? I phoned Sky today and they offered to reduce my bills by 35%, I have been with them for over 14 years and thought they could give me a better deal but they wouldn't reduce it any more, the man on the phone actually got a bit shirty when I didn't take him up on the offer which just encouraged me to cancel. I have full TV package including movies and sport, Broadband, Talk and line rental. Should I have taken the offer or do you think they'll contact me before the contract expires to offer me a better deal?0

I got same offer, 35% off. £17 per month for entertainment package, I think I will wait!0 -
I cancelled on 26th March, had a call with an offer on the 31st, which actually I think I should have accepted... £70 down to £38... I had failed to realise it was month and quarter end. I've had an email this morning with a survey asking me why I left... is it wise to answer this or not, does anyone know?0
