My 50% off offer letter has expired but no phonecall yet.
I am now using a relatives Sky Go login on the Xbox 360 to watch the few channels they offer there. Luckily Sky Go has Sky Atlantic and FX and I only want it for Game Of Thrones,Mad Men and Walking Dead so I am pleased with that.
Also signed up for NetFlix for £5.99/month and using the USA DNS workaround there is a lot of good TV and movies to watch. Other than that I am happy with Freeview and the Sky HD box has been unplugged. I can't be bothered to ring them up and haggle for 75% but if they ring me to offer it then I might consider it.0 -

Cancelled my Sky TV package last month. My last day was yesterday.
Logged into my Sky account today and noticed that I had a 50% off TV offer so I phoned Sky up.
Hey presto.....I have got 50% off for Entertainment and all Sky Sports channels and I am on no contract either. The Sky advisor did try to sell me half-price movies but I declined this as I was just after the Sports channels.
So as I am now with Plusnet, I am paying £35 per month for free evening/wend calls, phone line rental, unlimited b/band, Entertainment TV package and all Sky Sports channels.
If I want, I can also get the BT Sports and ESPN channels for an additional £5.99 per month !
I used to be with V/media a few years ago but there is no way that they could offer me deal like this for the Sports channels. I wish that I had left them a lot sooner and moved over to Sky. Oh well...never mind.
Absolutely brilliant and absolutely delighted (again) with Sky !0 -
Didn't realise you could see the offers when you login to you Sky account online. I've turned off all email, etc marketing so may have to keep an on my account online.0

Follow up on my last post 5379.
Sky gave me a call back on the following day at 10 am.
It was a different guy. He offered me again ee+, movies and sports for 50%, no contract for 12 months. I told him I was offered the same deal by his colleague the day before, but I had spoken to my wife and we thought we had to refuse (other expenses were our priority).
He straight away made the 75% offer I was waiting for as well as free BB for 1 year, no contract!
I accepted this, very happy with the deal. I decided to go for the HD option as well, which means I will be paying £28.95 (i have also line rental half price since December....). Brilliant!!
To get that offer, I had been off Sky TV since the 27th of January. So this is definitely a waiting game. Be patient and you will be rewarded.0 -
I called that number today and chanced my arm and got the 75% off the full hd package aswell for £20.75 , 12 months contract.0

I did it
Didn't want the movies so I asked if they had any offers without it. They said no so I said I'd think about it. So then he offered £21pm and £50cb for everything except movies which is my usual package. I took it up.
I really wanted multiroom but he wouldn't budge on the £11 price so I left that. Do they still give out offers for that later on in the term? I remember they used to for HD packages but I haven't received an offer for that since I gave it up years ago.0 -
Maybe a stupid question but could I ring up and get the 75% off if I said I was leaving Sky?
I'm paying the full amount at the moment (Sports, Entertainment Extra, Movies, HD). I was on the introductory rate of 50% for 12 months but that's expired now. Anyone managed to get the 75% off without disconnecting first?0 -
Very difficult, probably impossible, to get 75% off without actually going through with the cancellation. 50% off is certainly possible before the cancellation goes through.
Wait for them to call you...if you can't do that you don't really have enough leverage to get the best offers. The guy I spoke to during cancellation said that 50% off was the best offer they have, which is obviously wrong, so they're either misinformed or being disingenuous as part of their persuasion to get you to stay.0
