You cannot possibly make that assumption.
So my account has details of 50% flyers attached to it then ?
Even though my account has been live since December 27th !!!0 -

Yeah I did take them up on it. They're giving me free broadband for 12 months (was £7.50 a month), taking my line rental down to £10 (was £15.40) and something silly like £1 off my TV subscription.0 -

Okay please answer the question.
Why did sky send me the code when I have a service ?
While you answer I will phone them and ask for clarification.
Update called them.
They could see marketing mailshots were going to my address but could only speculate on what they were.
When I pointed out they were win back mailshots to a customer who was live he could not explain.
Don't get me wrong I will be perfectly happy next December to hopefully point out to sky that they are desperate to get me back, while armed with a dozen offers.
Perhaps if one comes up during the year that equals my current deal I might even try and take it.
As for anyone trying it on with a little white lie the tip I got was to say " why is my mother / neighbour / brother etc getting discounts to come back offered and I am not.
Worth a try in my opinion if you are prepared to sign up again.
I will continue to post my monthly offers if they continue.
The codes are not unique and are issued in high volumes anyway.0 -
There is a popular voucher site that have the 50% off vouchers available for Sky packages advertised today for anyone looking to save money,Go through Quidco for possible cashback.0

We just called sky to reduce our package, it was £44 a month and the lowest he would go was £36... so we cancelled.... are they likely to contact us with a better offer??0

Make sure you've allowed marketing contact on "MySky" or you'll never hear from them...0 -

Anyone declining marketing messages will no longer receive any unsolicited contact from Sky. For most, this is desirable- but those wanting a call offering retention deals will be disappointed.
I hate to say it. This isn't true.
I left them three months ago, turned off all forms of contact in preferences, told the (very rude) woman in retentions not to contact me, and she explicitly said no one would contact me and I wouldn't get any mailshots.
Three phone calls in 6 days prior to my notice period expiring...
It was all unsolicited contact from Sky. As was the 'why did you leave us' call a week after I had left. As was the mailshot last week...0 -

Are you certain you forbade contact completely?0 -
