Bad times - put my notice in to cancel Sky TV a couple of weeks ago and awaiting the call for another 50% discount... however having moved my phone and internet to Plusnet a few months back, the phone is now not working..... hope its fixed before Sky try to call me....

Did you check your sky account? It seems that the offers tend to come on there with a specific number to dial.

TBH i'm a bit of an old hand at cancelling and waiting for them to call me before it switches off.

I did log in to my account yesterday but nothing on there yet. Will keep checking it.

i have multi room 50 per cent discount, emailed them to cancel and was offered the discount when they phoned me. Took all of a minute to sort out

i am on a 50 per cent discount for everything bar broadband.

Have not paid the full price for sky for the last 4 years and dont plan to ever pay the price again

had sky for over 15 years.
  • i spoke to virgin in september and got a £5.00 a month loyalty dicount (14yrs) phoned again about the increase and got another £5.oo discount so paying £36.99 for m+ package. thanks for every ones advice.
  • Howdy all, I've been with Sky for well over a decade now, I had a good offer the other year where I got everything half price for 12 months but have been paying full whack since September. My bill is currently in high £90's as we have everything including phone and broadband with them.

I've done a bit of homework today, including working out a few figures, phoned them up and mentioned I'd had a great offer from Virgin......it took me 30 minutes on the phone and a bit of hard-ball but I'm now saving over £30 a month on my bill and I'm getting HD installed upstairs and downstairs plus half price line rental.

I definitely had a discount on multi-room and still do (forgotten the amount but when I look at my Sky bill it has a 'subsidised' flash over the second box).

Hi all, just a post to tell you my story

Been with sky 9yr8months (currently have sky ent extra/hd/movies)
last year I rang and cancelled and a week before being switched off they rang and offered 1/2 price for a year which I took.

So I rang today as offer has ended
Went straight through to cancel and said I was leaving because my offer had ended and was going to go to a youview box, they went through the usual of suggesting downgrading but I just said I wanted to cancel then they offered the [STRIKE]half price again for a year with a 12month contract Happy Days[/STRIKE] :money:
This hasn't happened....over the weekend I had emails confirming offer and its only 25% that has been applied to my account - talking to sky this morning and they won't budge from that 25% now:mad::mad::mad:
Following :money: to keep us debt free :j
