    Was with Virgin until about a month ago and cancelled all but phone and moved to Freesat. Cancelled phone a couple of days ago and just had a retention call.

    New deal:

    Phone with free weekend calls + 10Meg BB unlimited downloads + freeview V+HD box, all for £11 / month ;)

    in one simple word "NO"

    I have recently had a similar experience with V/M

    to cut to the chase, was trying to save money
    was offered to upgrade my B/B to 20mb per month for £1

    informed V/M I'm after saving money not paying more
    eventually I got what I was after, kept my original package
    for £6 less, RESULT :beer::beer::beer:

    Had been on the sky sports + movies + hd for 22.50 for 12 months offer, failed to realise it had expired and was now 62.25 a month, called up cancellations and was offered everything for 36.25 for 6 months.

    Youve been with them for 6 months thats pretty much the reason they will offer you nothing.

    Out of contract or severely bad customer service ie engineer destroyed your house or customer service agent destroyed your account, this is the only way youll get something from cancellations. Only way to save money is to go through to downgrades and threaten to remove sports or movies or espn or something even then cant gaurentee you will get anything :(
