Is there any small print as to cancellation terms with the 50% off code. Looking to get Entertainment+ w/Sports and HD but thinking I may aswell get the full package with Movies as long as I'm not tied in past the 12 months.
Also, is this valid for channels such as MUTV?
Any help greatly appreciated.0 -
What 50% code? Any "codes" are usually for new customers and involve a 12 month contract. If Sky offers you 50% off it's usually without a contract but you'll have to ask them.0

So hey guys, my Sky came to the end of its 50% off deal I received last year from MSE. With the price going up to £90 I called up Sky to cancel. I went through the hoops, chatted with a cool Scottish dude and the best he could offer me to stay was 50% off my phone line rental.
I refused politely explaining that Virgin are offering me what I would get on the Full Sky Package + Movies + Sports for £62pcm (a number I sucked out of the air)
Great.... no longer with Sky, well a months notice and a cancellation email.
Tuesday afternoon (2 business days) and Sky Loyalty Man calls, go through the hoops that the other gent went through and explained he understood I was leaving due to price. And BOOM the offers come through, 50% off Entertainment Extra +, Movies & Sport (£28), HD (+-£5) £9.50 a month line rental & £3.75 Sky Unlimited Broadband, a grand total of £47pcm with no minimum term or contract.
Naturally I snapped it up (if it were any less that 50% off I would have declined)
Just another success story, tell them a price you are getting from the competition and that is why you are moving, be helpful, friendly and polite and BOOM massive saving.0 -
Hi
I am almost at the end of my minimum term and my box is almost on its last legs.
So is like to get a new 2 TB from sky and so far the best they can offer is 149 pounds plus free delivery.
Would I be able to get it free if I went through the process of "I'm leaving "0 -

Why is your box on its "last legs" after 12 months? Have you been cleaning it in the bath perhaps?0 -

I find that every hard to believe. That would be the best deal I have ever seen anyone offered.0 -

Well its completely truehave to admit though, I too was pretty gob-smacked by the deal on offer
Do bare in mind, one of stipulations, you must be an existing O2 BB customer (now part of Sky)
The actual deal was all the above services and equipment for £29.00 P/M. However Sky agreed to let me pay the line rental up front (£119.40) Reducing the monthly total to £24.45
£119.40 div 12 = £9.95 + £14.50 = £24.45 P/M0 -

Your two totals are completely different, no wonder people were disbelieving you...0
