I've decided to take Sky up on their 6 months free offer they made last week but asked for movies and full HD and without any trouble they gave it me.
I've now got all the channels, sports, movies and HD for free. I'll have to remember to cancel in 5 months. Wonder what they will offer then.0 -
Yes seems to be a good run of offers at the moment from cancelation team.
I can confirm my workmate whos cancel date was 2nd August got a second call last night.
He has the "complete" package with sports and movies.
Opening gambit was 50% off for 12 months. Rejected on basis of cost.
2nd offer 6 months completely free with no tie in. Accepted.
Will be very interesting to see how this pans out in 5 months.0 -
Heh, I only got one call from retentions after cancelling and the guy very quickly admitted the offer he was able to make wouldn't be good enough after all the trouble they'd caused me.0

Hi there, just noticed this thread and its quite pertinent to the problems i'm having at the moment. I have everything with sky, broadband, tv and calls, 2 multirooms and hd subscription. I pay £90 per month. I tried this morning to get some discount on the package and was point blank refused. even though we've had problems with broadband and have had 4 engineer visits and countless phonecalls to them??
Any tips appreciated!
Thanks in advance

I only have the tv package (Entertainment with HD pack) Currently paying £31.75pm and just out of 12 month contract. Phoned them up to hopefully get a deal but sadly was only offered 10% discount (£28.80 for Entertainment+ with HD) So went through with cancellation, hopefully will phone me back with better offer before the 30 days is up. Whilst I don't actually watch much Sky content (mainly BBC etc) I do find the Sky+ recording very useful - shame you need a subscription to use it!0

You can have SKY+ for £10 a month (or something like that) with no need for a program package.0
