Sorry if this is the wrong place - i've been looking around the site but can't find what i'm looking for.
I ordered sky back in april with Martin's offer of 50% off for a year plus £25 of m&s vouchers 45 days after activation. It's been almost twice as long and still no vouchers. I'm currently talking online to a Sky advisor but i'm being told to contact MSE about the vouchers, not Sky. I've read on the current Sky offer it does say to contact Sky if you don't get your vouchers, so am i being fobbed off?
Any help or a shove in the right direction would be greatly appreciated!0 -

Sky send the vouchers, so complain to them if not received.0 -
Mum has been offered the deal of HD sports and movies free for a year when you take our new Entertainment Extra+ TV pack, for only £5 extra per month. Plus
• A free award winning Sky+HD box
• £100 worth of M&S vouchers
• Free standard set-up
This seems a good deal. My question is, are there any good cashback deals that would work with this deal. Are there hidden costs. Any tips or advice
Thanks0 -
My elderly parents have moved and want a digital TV service for recording. They are used to Virgin but it's not in their area. They have a BT phone line. Which service would be the easiest/cheapest for their needs. They won't need premium movie/sports channels just to be able to easily record the standard Freeview channels.
I've heard that Sky is harder to use than Virgin.
They have broadband but could change if it's beneficial.0 -
Why not just get a YouView or Freesat+ HD box? They both include HD channels and recording capability.0

Thanks. I've had a look at these but can't work out which is the best?0

If they only want the basic freeview channels their best bet would be to buy a freeview recording box. One off payment, no monthly subscription.
I would then say their next best bet would be bt vision package at £5 a month.
The basic sky package is at least £21.50 and probably due to go up soon and I'm afraid I don't know much about Virgin Prices.0 -
Well they have different channel line-ups, with Freesat having more channels but lacking some popular ones like Dave. The full Freeview line-up isn't available everywhere - some places only have "Freeview Lite". You can check what transmitter they'd receive using this website.
Freeview (and thus YouView) will be getting up to 11 new HD channels by early 2014, we have no idea if Freesat will get any of these at this point.
Aside from that, Freesat provides generally higher image quality and requires a dish, whereas Freeview/YouView just requires an aerial.0 -

Have your parents got an aerial or satellite dish on their house? As that will be a big influence on their decision.0 -
Freeview TV is working fine from Crystal Palace transmitter. No satellite dish that I know of but it's flats so will need to check.0
