Well I rang to cancel a month ago. Wasn't offered any deal to stay. Waited the month for them to call me - they didn't. Channels all went off yesterday. I called them today to see that I was missing it already and was there any offers for me to come back. He looked and said there was no offers available to me. So it doesn't always work :-(

    Details:
Before (just TV) £36.75, Entertainment Plus + HD
    Now: 6 Months @ £24.87 followed by 6 months £30.13. :T
Don't mean to put a downer on this but Sky are shortly launching "Entertainment Extra +", which is basically Entertainment Extra plus the HD Pack, for £30pm. So after 6 months you won't be saving anything over the standard prices.

It does always work. The thing some people aren't realising is you have to be willing to cancel. If you called them up the day after they switched you off, why would they offer you anything? It's obvious you don't want to live without it - they hold all the cards.

Got another 50% off flyer in the mail yesterday, that's the third one in 4 weeks, offer ends 14/03/13. Will hold off as i reckon the 75% off will be offered in April.

please can you share the number to ring up and the code for the offer as my subscription is due to cancel this week and am willing to resubscribe at 50% off.

I was just saying that getting a deal before you get cut off or when you get cut off doesn't always work. They have called my bluff and cut me off and now i have no sky lol. Will have to wait now to see if they contact me with an offer to go back. Dont know how long it will take - not easy when you have a sports mad partner and two film mad kids :-(

Been away for 12 months now and had various offers, from 25 -75% off and 6 months free with no contract, never interested in it but mrs wants it back.

    @ricky7
No promotional code and the standard $ky phone number.

Just found out something alarming. Although my calls to Sky were dialed on 020 7126 7020 when I check my last dialed number it shows as 08442 414141. As these calls cost me 13p+ set up and then around 6.2p+ per minute if this is how the call is billed, it was expensive.

Is this legal? Can you dial a UK geographic number and then have that connected to an 0844 number for charging purposes without warning the person making the call?

I advise you all to check your bills if you have been using the 0207 number. Anyone with any feedback it would be much appreciated?

I know, but from what I've read they're then adding the F1 channel to some other £5 extra package, which is kind of a deal breaker for us.

Some people love their film channels - we love SSF1!
Upon looking at the full price of the Sports (and Mrs Jetters-to-be saying 'Why didn't you go for it?!') I am a bit sick I didn't go for it.
Maybe I can call them back later and see what I can do...

Ugh, just realised I can't record anymore :-( Looks like they've got me over a barrel - will probably have to go back to them and pay top whack. I hate Sky :-(

You're right though, they can't kill the card because it'd still be valid for Freesat From Sky.
I didn't say they kill the card, it just kills access to subscription channels including Sky+ capability and On Demand.
