    Hi thanks for your reply.
I'm on the same but it ends 27th March.

both told me about the 6month deal but couldn't include HD.
however... I'm paying £26 a month so how are you getting everything for £20.50? or do you not have sports?

I'd probably cancel myself until they do another HD offer, I don't see the point in paying £26 a month now for standard TV. I tend to only watch DAVE now anyway! so I'll get myself a Humax box with the money I'd save going for another year with Sky ;)

    dont have sports
  • cancelled mine :)

I'll wait till they have the exact deal or better before I subscribe again.
got enough viewings with Sky for 12months and will burn everything to dvd on planner before contract ends.
  • Thank you Sebsy, read your comments and used the nice approach too, after debating about it for months!!!
Phoned sky cancellations today, told them I was a sky customer for about 15yrs and was still using the original equipment, was interested in Sky+ but did not want to pay the £159 for the box and install and did not need HD as the channels are the same as what I already get. I told them there was no loyality rewards for long term customers and if I was a new customer I would be getting a free box and install and M&S vouchers.
Adviser was very pleasant and offered me new sky+HD box and free install this Sat!!! and couldn't believe my original sky box after 15yrs was still working LOL Am in a new contract for the next 12mths, but am fine with that, no offers on packages but I am on the basic one of £20.50 anyhow and happy enough with that.
Got what I wanted for free - wished I had phoned sooner!!! :T

Hi all, (I hope Ive posted this in the right place)

    HELP!

Ive been with VM for ages-currently paying £31 for tv, phone line and broadband. They have written to me saying the prices will increase. Sky have a similar offer for 30.75pm with more tv channels, evening and weekend calls and broadband.

I just want the basic stuff; is it worth me switching over or should I stay with VM?

Any help/advice/suggestions would be much appreciated.

    Thank you!

You probably need to pay extra £10-ish a month for HD subscription as well. Best to find out and confirm with Sky if you are not expecting this.

    Hi guys

Called up as my FREE 12 months HD Sub was ending (currently paying £52 for Sky + Sports/Movies etc) and the £10.25 was due to go on this month,

Just wanted to make ppl aware that it seems the HD Sub (£10.25) is not discounted. I did query this with the advisor and he said it definitely isn't.

Still £62 is now £36 for 6 months

    Cheers

I have just had a lady on the phone from Sky who offered me a Sky HD box for £15.00, you have to install it yourself but apparently it's easy. I would have to have it on contract for 12 months but they will credit my account with £115.00 and I will only pay for the last 2 months. Is this a good deal or a con?
