Hi,
Can anyone advise me on my situtation..
my 12month is up on the 27th March. (£26 a month for all)
in order to cancel I have to give 1 month notice, which is this sunday...
I phoned them to see if they would continue the offer, they told me they cant check on the system until 1-2weeks before the contract ends...
so if I dont like there offer come this time then I would still get billed £62 for that next month... (cheeky !!!!!!s!!)
anyone else in same possition and what should I do?0 -

Another who was on 'friends & family' Sky discount that was coming to an end, first call resulted in Sky saying to ring back 14 days before my next bill and change to whichever packages I use to save money. Called back and said my other half had said just cancel it, was offered 25% discount for a year which allows changes to my package at any point, said that it's still expensive, then offered 50% off full package excluding HD (who needs Corrie in HD anyway)! Stipulated that you cannot downgrade on this package, but not tied into 12 month contract. Covers the rest of the footie season so happy days!:)0

Call them up on Sunday again. You technically can't cancel til you are within the last month of the contract, so they can't offer any discounts etc til you are in that period. I used to work in 'retention' (cancellation) for sky a few years back, and this was the conditions we had to work with.
xxCan't think of anything smart to put here...0 -
Took the bull by the horns ate a piece of humble pie and phoned Sky to see if they would offer me anything prior to my agreement terminating. Immediately got offered 6 months at half price. Tried to get HD on same deal but had to pay full price on that and £15 for new HD box. Tried my hardest to get them to waive that, but no luck. Still, delighted with deal offered0

That's what I was hoping for, did you just say you wanted to cancel because it was too expensive?0 -
Hello all,
An old method used to be to write an email to Sir Murdoch and the email would be passed to The Executive Team. The email for Mr Murdoch is no longer in use.
The team that deal with complaints / requests / upgrades (offer deals over and above other teams inc Retentions) is the Executive Team and their email address is 'ExecCustEnq@bskyb.com'
Over the years I have had some very good deals. For example last year I had a free Sky HD box inc Installation, Free HD Subs, Half Price TV for 6 months (though extended after 6 months), free telephone line rental for a year, etc
I am coming to the end of my contract again and have been told once sky reached the 10 million customer mark, most of the deals were removed and the only ones available now available are: - 6 month half price TV package, or 25% over 12 months. They stated there haven't really been any other deals since before Xmas'10. The Executive Team claim there are no deals on telephone and broadband anymore, even after I requested my MAC code.
Please post any success you have. Should be easy enough to get a HD box, as they are supplied as standard now.
Good luck!

Hi, I am hoping I am posting in the right thread for some advice on Sky TV.
I currently have a sky+ subscription, but I am planning on moving into my Mum's house. She has a sky+ HD subscription and we want to get multiroom in her house, so I can keep my sky box and watch sky tv in my room. I have had a look at the sky website but not sure exactly how much they would charge us and what is the best way of going about doing this. If I can get another sky+ HD box from them to replace my current normal sky+ box it would be the best offer, but I have a feeling they would charge us for it.
Anyone have any advice on how to go about getting the best multiroom deal out of them?
Thanks in advance for your help xxx0 -

I had tried to get a deal earlier and threatened to leave Sky. The guy said he could do my termination there and then, so I went through with it and was due to be cut-off on 3rd March. Decided to leave it to last week of deal to go back with them. I told them I was under pressure from family to continue my Sky subscription. I was told I would be put through to the re-activation department and then back to sales. As soon as I spoke to the sales guy he offered me 6 months half price subscription. I tried to negotiate a deal on HD also, but he told me I could only get one deal at a time. The guy told me I could go back after 6 months and see what deals were available. So happy.0
