Hi, I called sky as have multi room and fr a year I had multi room free! However as a year was over they auto charged me full price!!

As I called em for a different issue in January I found this info out. I hit the roof and asked to be put to cancellations team, spoke to a guy there and he told me I would be refunded the multi room charge! So I then decided to ask what about the next 12months

I now have sky multi room for 20.50 for 6 months and 26.50 for the rest of the 6 months BUT have to call back after 12 months as Sky do not call or inform you anymore! They just put the prices up!!!!!

I then thought let me push it a bit and ask for the new wireless extender for free Ofcourse!
He told me he was limited to offer anymore but to call back in the next day around 1pm, he said they have 2 teams and the 1 on at 12pm to around 3 can offer and authorise more!
I called and now I have a wireless extender on the way!!! FREE

    Good luck

    Anee Mo :o)
  • We took up the offer of one of Martin's 50% off Sky codes in his weekly email dated 12th September 2012. We had the full Sky package with HD installed on 24th September 2012. In the email it stated that you also got £50 M & S vouchers that we have never received. I have contacted Sky via email and received no reply. Him indoors contacted Sky via online chat earlier and was told that there was no offer of any M & S vouchers at the time we placed our order. None of our paperwork says anything about the M & S vouchers.

Did anyone on here take up the same offer and did you get any vouchers?

Martin used to have a link to a claim page on Sky for non receipt of vouchers but I cannot find the link.
  • Sky cut off at midnight tonight. Not a word from them , it doesnt always pan out the way you hope. Tv ,BB and phone.
  • Hi we have not been with sky from last few years, we have only been watching the freeview channels, but had recently lost the signal and just could not find it again. So called sky and they are coming this weekend to check and fix it. They will charge £65 . I have just seen very tempting deal on MSE website which is with the cashback and the M&S vouchers and it will only cost about £3 Pounds a month. Should I cancel that visit first and then try to get the offer or the other way round?

I would. If you can now register as a new customer, you'll get a new HD box and the alignment of the dish sorted out as part of the deal.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.
  • Thanks Heinz.
  • Spoke very politely to a sky rep. Just said that Virgin were offering "like for like" package for 50% less. Sky matched their offer. Now paying £32.00 instead of £67.00. Got sports, docs, music channels thrown in........Oh happy days:beer:
  • Wish I had your luck

Have been on the phone twice to Sky today (very politely). I currently pay £75 for my bundle telly, phone, bband + movies + multiroom. First they offered me £3 off wooo. (Not)
Then they took off movies and mutiroom + £3 and called it £41 (I could have done that myself). She couldn't do any more for me so said I'd think. Called back spoke to a guy who shaved a few bits off here and there for 3 months only and then it goes back up again. Told him I wanted to disconnect, he said my broadband and phone will cut off immediately if I do that. I can't have that happen feel so stupid.
I can't afford £900 a year anymore but they aren't budging for me, been a customer for at least 10 years. Will my broadband cut off, surely I have paid in advance?

I'm not 100% sure but I doubt they could just cut you off straight away! Probably just scaremongering tactics from whoever you spoke to.

Well done, is this an actual offer with Virgin or just a haggling tactic? I need some ammo for when I call sky back for the 3rd time?
