New package offered
Telephone XL
(Unlimited UK Landline calls 24/7 to 01,02 and 03 numbers,Daytime Calls - included,Evening Calls - included,Weekend Calls - included)

Just tried to haggle with Virgin for a better deal for my broadband (currently L / £21mth) to see if they would come down to BT infinity (£18/mth for 24Mb). They weren't having any of it and refused to budge. Even tried to sell me a more expensive product to get the same speed as BT offered. Very frustrated; not sure what to do next.
Sorry to be blunt, but I think you have just listed your options above:
1. Stay as you are....
2. Move to BT infinity....A big believer in karma, you get what you give :A

Hiya I was wondering whether you guys could help:
Had BT Unlimited Broadband, and Unlimited calls since Oct 2010
Added BT Vision in Sept 2011
When I rang up BT to try and haggle I was told I was still in contract and they couldnt do anything. But I'm surely only in contract for the Vision, not the rest of it. Can I ring back and haggle for something off the Broadband and Phone, or am I stuck?
Thanks0 -
This is my first day on the forum, so hello everyone!
I've just spoken to Virgin Media and managed to get my package reduced by £7.50 per month, with upgraded Broadband and a free HD box. Not a huge result, but considering I've never haggled with anyone before it feels like a victory!0 -

You should be able to haggle I reckon on the broadband and/or unlimited calls as this is a separate contract to the BT vision however you are tied in for a while so maybe that is why they are not willing to give you a better price because put simply you cannot leave.0 -
Been with virgin for years! We have xxl broadband (50mb) and evenings and weekend phone package and paying £40 a month. Think the line rental is about £13 quid.
We want to keep the xxl broadband, but we want to get a tv package as well. I think in total we just want to pay £50 max for the bundles and we don't want to pay for installation fees.
Help me haggle on this one? I've never haggled before. How much are people paying with virgin?0 -
Had a nice result from Sky. Am out of contract on my tv package (£22 p/month) & internet (£7 p/month) but still within the contract for the HD pack (£10 p/month)
Asked about leaving sky or anything that might help to reduce my bill.
Was offered half price on the HD pack and 12 months free land line!! That'll save me a few bob during the year.
Thank you Sky!

Being a Senior Citizen who gets confused about such matters, I ask the forum's advise and expertise on the following.
I currently have Sky TV (Entertaiment + and Sky Sports) which costs around £43 p/m. I have had this combination for some years now but affordability is an issue. I also have from BT my Broadband (opt 2) and phone for around £45 p/m. Had this option for some time but expensive for my budget. After the initial 12 months with Sky (some years past) I guess I am on a rolling contract although not had any correspondence from them since day 1. With BT, my Broadband and Phone contract comes to an end in May 2012.
My question is who would you consider to be the best provider for Digital TV with Sky Sports, Broadband (equivalent to BT opt 2) and free anytime phone calls all in one bundle and at a much reduced cost to the combined £88 p/m I am paying at the moment.
Could you also include provider contact telephone numbers as appropriate.
Your help and advise would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.0 -
Hi Ian can you go to this website and put in where you live and let us know what companies offer internet access in your area.

Is it only Sky Sports which you want to keep what about the other Sky channels?0
